Can this paint be sprayed on wall? If yes, how must wall be prepped? New construction so currently new drywall, not primed yet.
Hi,
Great question! The good news is our Water-Based Metallic Paint can be sprayed on the wall. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s directions carefully. Always keep the spray gun 25-30 cm (10-12”) from the surface and in motion while spraying.
Remove all dirt, grease, oil, salt and chemical contaminants by washing the surface with Krud Kutter® or a commercial detergent, or other suitable cleaning method. Rinse with fresh water and allow to thoroughly dry. Remove loose paint and rust with a wire brush or GATOR® sandpaper.
Previously coated surfaces must be sound and in good condition. Smooth, hard, or glossy finishes should be scarified by sanding to create a surface profile.
Use of a Zinsser® Primer provides added corrosion protection, superior adhesion and hiding, and is especially recommended for bare wood bare metal, new drywall or as a primer over contrasting colours.

Our Water-Based Metallic Paint is dry to the touch in 30 minutes, dried to handle in 2 hours and can be recoated in 30 minutes. We hope this new information is helpful.

Can it be used on glass? Does it need primer?
Hi Sawsan,
We recommend applying our Bulls Eye 123 primer and then top coating with our Metallic Accents Latex paint when applying to glass surfaces.

Not good for walls
Started painting my bathroom gold stripes. This was exactly what I was looking for but I’m disappointed. The paint is thin so it does not go on evenly even with multiple coats. I used about 3 different kinds of rollers starting with what’s recommended on the container and the pain is an awkward stage of thin and thick so it seems very ‘airy’ and bubbly so it looked awful on. Very disappointing especially with the price of it. After 3 thick coats I’m done trying and will be using a different pain
