Lock & Block the walls
As a pro painter I use this product sparingly as the application of this product requires proper ventilation and respirator. It's an oil based product and does the job every time. It locks in odors and blocks out stains. For 'smoker' homes, this is the product of choice. We used bowls of white vinegar - post application to help deal with the smell as it was cold out.
It says it dries quickly, roughly 2hrs, however we let it cure overnight before applying the latex topcoat.
This product has its purpose and does what it says. Choosing and using the right primer is important.
