Description

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bells110 from This is NOT a good trash can! I bought this last August. By December the wheel assembly fell apart. In spite of the “10 year” warranty Rubbermaid they wouldn’t replace it. And they didn’t even offer to replace the wheels!

We were thinking of building/buying a garbage storage container but thought why not just use the cans we put out to the curb instead....so I bought 4 of these. They are fine. Not great. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they make the wheels so small on these large cans. We've had these cans before so I already know the wheels are going to fall off and the lid is going to crack in the wintertime, but for the price I decided it was worth replacing all 4 every year in comparison of the price it costs to buy one good big one. We have a gravel driveway so you can imagine how difficult it is to maneuver these wheels through something like that. Overall, they will do the job that's needed at least for a year. I do have to say that I'm surprised Rubbermaid has their name on something that isn't great quality. Usually you can count on Rubbermaid to produce a good long standing product at an affordable price. Also, I ordered these online since I was already ordering a whack of patio stones (thinking they would be delivered the same time) knowing that I likely couldn't fit 4 of these in my car if I went to the store to buy them. The patio stones were delivered about 5 days after my order but these cans weren't delivered with them. Instead, they fell under the "Parcel Shipping" which means they were free delivery but is also code for "we'll take as long as we want to deliver them". These took a full 20 days to arrive. When I tried to track them it would just say "in transit" and "expected delivery 1-11 days". So, not terribly convenient but I am happy that they finally did arrive.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bassman90 from Squirrels love them! We have been in our house for nearly 20 years and have had a couple different garbage cans over the years that have naturally worn out. Within a month's time squirrels (set trial cam to see what it was) chewed the entire rim of the lid off (both cans) and a 3" diameter hole in 1 of them. Clearly not the strongest material.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dr. Real from Cheap and useless. The lid is flimsy. Even if you use a bungee cord, animals can get in by easily opening the lid on either side. Quite useless to be honest.
