Perfect for Every Project
I have been using ROCKWOOL since it was Roxul! Comfortboard is a great product that works amazingly to reduce thermal bridges and improve thermal performance. It’s a favourite on the job site, since the stone wool boards are easy to handle, cut like a dream, and allow for a tight fit. Best of all, Comfortboard holds up against all the elements that our Canadian climate can throw at it. I’ve trusted ROCKWOOL Comfortboard insulation for my shows and personal projects for years!
Disclosure: I am a long-standing ambassador of ROCKWOOL and its stone wool insulation products and have previously received products in-kind. Although compensated for my role as an ambassador, my review is based on my first-hand experience using ROCKWOOL products and on my belief in their performance and benefits to buildings and occupants. I regularly used ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation products prior to establishing an ambassador relationship with ROCKWOOL. This review reflects my own honest opinion.

Amazing product for unique applications
I have worked with the ComfortBatt before and it has always been super easy to use and install. This summer is was privileged to be introduced to the ComfortBoard. This product is amazing! Super easy to cut. Gives great R value. Installation was a breeze. This was very important as the project I was working on, the ehframe, had some very unique challenges when it came to insulation (the picture I attached is of a cut out I had to make to insulate around one of the huge steel brackets that hold up the main columns for the A frame). The different sizes/thicknesses that the ComfortBoard was available in made it very easy to get the correct amount of insulation in tricky areas. Great product! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a superior insulation product.

Great for acoustic treatment... High NRC value.
I used the Comfortboard 80 for some DIY basstraps in my home studio. People seem to think the is used to soundproof a room, it's not really. It might help a little bit, but this is mostly use to treat acoustic waves and absorption. To control frequencies in a room... you can use these as sound panels in a home theater, office, studio etc.. If you buy this expecting sound proofing, you will be dissapointed.

Perfect product to add exterior insulation
After watching the build show, I decided to use Rockwool rigid panels to insulate the exterior of a 1970s bungalow north of Toronto. The boards are easy to work with, cut and fasten. Rockwool does not have some of the negative issues with foam. The added fire resistance properties makes us feel more secure . Sound deadening is also noticeably improved.
