What is the total weight
It is easy to push because it is lite in weight. I would say it is about 20 - 25 Kg

is there a utube to show assembly?
Thank you for your question. Instructions for selecting the wheel height and installing the handle assembly are included with the mower. This is basically all the assembly required for this model. Please contact the manufacturer's Canadian Consumer Resource Centre at 1-800-668-1238 or techcanada@mtdproducts.com for additional assistance.

How do u attach the black flap on the back of the mower...
Thank you for your question. While the trailing shield should come attached to the mower in the carton, replacing it is a simple procedure. The shield is secured by two retaining clips inserted through the rear of the deck. Please contact the manufacturer at 1-800-668-1238 if you would like assistance with this step.

It looks like to change the height, you have to unbolt the wheels and move them that way, as opposed to turning a lever? Is that what "manual" height adjustment is??
Yes, that is correct.

I purchased this mower. Oiled it fueled it. Primed it. Went to start it and it won’t turn over. Stupid question but is there an on off button I do t see
Thank you for your question. There are two possible reasons your engine won't turn over. The safety bail on the upper handle must be squeezed to allow the blade and engine to turn. If at any point after adding the engine oil you had occasion to tip the mower over it's possible there is hydraulic lock. This can be remedied by removing the spark plug and pulling the recoil rope to eliminate the lock. For more information contact the manufacturer at 1-800-668-1238 with your mower's model and serial number.

new lawnmower stalled, got floor model, started great, then stalled when almost finished cutting. then could not pull on handle to restart, like the cord is stuck. what can we do.
Thank you for your question. Please disconnect the spark plug wire and safely inspect the underside of the mower deck to ensure that nothing is preventing the blade from turning (grass build-up, branches, foreign objects). If you are unable to pull the recoil rope have an authorized warranty dealer service the mower. Use the dealer locator at www.mtdproducts.ca to find one near you.

Slick little mower...
Great little mower, the most simplistic build ever, no parts missing. Pros and cons as follows:
Pros:
-$197 taxes in (I mean what else do you need?)
-came with the required 600ml of oil.
Cons:
-cut height can only be changed by unbolting the wheels and actually moving them up/down on deck.
-low handle height for tall people.
-needed a 5/8" wrench as well (which wasn't listed in the tool list).
Just chewed through my 50x150 lot, still has half tank of fuel. Absolutely, positively cannot beat $169+tax/sale price.

Lite, very powerful, reliable
I bought this three years ago and it is excellent. Our red mower, which cost 3 times as much, just sits in the garage (except for mulching). It has started every time on first pull - pump the bulb three times if it is cold, once if warm. It is far more powerful than any mower I have had in the past and can mow through heavy grass without stalling. I also use it on the hillside with a cable and it can tackle thick overgrown grass. It can handle mowing at a severe slope - just allow it to return to horizontal frequently to redistribute the oil. Other mowers used at these angles fail.

Terrible product and dont trust the "warranty"
Lasted me barely a year. Went in to get it fixed by one of their approved mechanics and was told it has three problems (air filter, spark plug, and carburetor)... Ive used this thing probably 10 times since I bought it so I was shocked it had so many issues. The total cost of repair 220$ (yes, more than I paid for to begin with) and somehow none of it falls under its 2 year warranty. Fortunately the mechanic was nice enough to give us a 50$ credit. If I could rate this less than one star I would. Absolute last remington product I ever buy.

Lawn push mowers are ALL missing 2 lock nuts
Please unbox the item to make sure all the components are included!
ALL these Remington gas Lawnmowers are missing 2 lock nuts from Group 4 (same as those in Group 2) as per the user manual. I didn’t know this in the beginning so I called MTD Canada for the parts. Upon the receipt of the parts, I discovered that the nuts were incorrect. What I need are the same as the nuts in Group2 but they shipped those from Group1 (or Group 5). So I had to go to the store where I bought the mower for a replacement. However, when I asked the store staff to open the box so I could check for all the components, we found that all the boxes were missing those nuts. Thank goodness that I was able to find similar sizes of nuts in the store otherwise it would like about another whole week for me to assemble and actually get to mower my lawn.

Terrible product! Absolutely horrible RONA
I wish I had read all the bad review before buying this piece of trash.
I wanted to buy a smaller gas powered lawn mower because my I gave out my old reliable Craftsman to a friend in need.
I bought this towards the end of July 2022. I must have used it 2-3 times before end of season and I moved it to indoor storage immediately sometime in September.
Still looks all clean and shiny.
But we've had a couple of weeks of rain and grass starting to grow so I thought I would do the first cut. I've been battling to start this piece of trash for a few days. No luck.
Worse still, I've tried calling their warranty line and all I keep getting is dropped calls with nowhere to send me.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS REVIEW, PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THIS HORRIBLE PRODUCT WITH A LONG POLE. AVOID AT ALL COST.
Wish there was option to give zero star.

Lasted a year
Bought it almost exactly a year ago and it's already broken. I've had another mower that I keep at a rental property that was purchased used for 30$ and I haven't had an issue with it in 4 years. Not impressed with this one to say the least...

Great lawn mower
We bought this last year. It was just under $200. It starts first time. I’ve never had a lawn mower before with a pull start that I didn’t have to get my husband to start for me. I’m thinking of getting another one for my son.

Good mower
Nice light weight mower. Works very well for the trimming needed after tractor used. A little hard to restart after it had been running for awhile. Great price!
