Description
Rainfresh water softener makes water soft by removing hardness using a process called Ion Exchange. Hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by an equivalent amount of sodium ions. Sodium ions do not form scale, thus making the water soft, while maintaining its chemical balance. What is a tds rate of water we get after filter?
Water softeners are not designed to reduce TDS which is a measure of the total dissolved solids (minerals) in the water. A water softener removes hardness causing minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) and thus makes water soft. If sized correctly you will get zero to 1 GPG hardness coming out of the unit.
