Description
Rainfresh water softener makes water soft by removing hardness using a process called Ion Exchange. Hardness-causing calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by an equivalent amount of sodium ions. Sodium ions do not form scale, thus making the water soft, while maintaining its chemical balance. dose this unit contain ceramic beads?
All Softeners (including the Rainfresh 45T) have ion exchange resin beads which remove hardness from the water. Ceramic beads are not used as they do not soften the water or aid the softener performance in any way.

Installation cost

Installation cost depends on a variety of factors such as install location, length of pipe, bends, distance of drain, piping material etc, and whether you are installing yourself or getting a plumber. It is best that you review the location where you want the unit installed and list the fittings and piping you may need and then get a cost of these fittings from the store. You can also get a few quotes from plumbers.
