Not so much by HALF True 1/2"
Not so much by HALF True 1/2 an inch
Gave it an Average rating as this is the kind of things you come to expect in the high paced world get it on the internet. Seeing is still believing, so I shop in store whenever possible.
There is a part of me that wanted to give this Zero Stars, but that's not even an option, this unicorn didn't exist the day I was there. I truly believe that this is an inventory problem and some day they will figure it out. The possibility still exist that I might have a word with the manager on this topic.
To be fair it does exist in what Lowes would call its sister store
the same 1/2-in Dia x 100-ft L. Poly Drip Irrigation Distribution Tubing
for the price as advertised. however not here in the Kingston Store.
1/2-in Dia x 50-ft L. Poly Drip Irrigation Distribution Tubing for the same price as
listed for the 100-ft L , So if my math is correct that's twice the price at Kingston location.
That's only half the problem if your intended use is the Hose to couple with the Drip Irrigation System or any of the items that require the use of the 25-30 PSI Pressure Regulator. The regulator is essential for the 0.5 GPH, 1.0GPH 2.0 GPH emitters to function properly. This comes in the Rain Bird Outdoor Faucet Drip Tubing Connection Kit.
Great Product takes a bit to figure it out, but that is another story.
To get the another story see "Serendipity (Happy Accident)" my review of the "Rain Bird Irrigation All Outdoor Faucets Connection Kit"
This Kit comes with 150-200 mesh filter, Back Flow Prevention to avoid contamination of your water supply it works as a Pressure release valve, 25-30 PSI Pressure Regulator and the Adapter to connect the 1/2" hose.
Just wanting to get going on this project I went to the Plumbing Section and found a more reasonable priced 1/2-in Dia x100-ft Poly Pipe. This pipe from the Plumbing Section
I found out later it has an interior dimension of 5/8" good thing as the Adapter in Kit mentioned above has a snug fit for the 5/8" hose not sure how the True 1/2" hose would fit onto this adaptor with out heating it with a propane torch.
Please note that Pluming and Garden supplies measure half inch differently thought standards on measurement was a real thing, determined some time in the past. Seem all store have this problem. Measure for yourself?
as for Quality it seems to be as good as any other Poly Hosing, so Excellent
as for Value Zero Stars not an option why Twice the cost no thanks.
Thanks "Irrigated Gardener"
