Rated 2 out of 5 by from Takes 2 to Solve It Similar issue to the other recent 2 star review. After recently replacing the cold water fill valve on our washer, we have had a higher than normal level of hammer. I bought 2 and installed, and no improvement. As a test, I swapped them, still the same issue. I installed both on the cold water side, and the hammer was resolved. Not very happy that one of these wouldn't have solved the issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too happy. I bought two of the washing machine quite pipe shock absorbers for my hot and cold supply lines of my washing machine. And after two months of trying it, I still get the hammering every time I use the washing machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't really solve my issue. I bought these for our new LG Washing Machine. Whenever the water valves would close, our fridge water line would rattle and clank. These are substantial brass and copper devices and appear well built and assembled. However, they didn't stop the water line rattle. I'm not sure they even minimized it. Also, the washers that came included were too small and therefore the water lines dripped. I replaced them with larger washer and have had no problems since. One benefit of these devices is that they allow me to push the washer a bit closer to the wall since they introduce a 90-deg bend so I kept them installed. What actually solved the rattle problem was closing the supply valves about half way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and fixed my issue! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hearing some clanking sounds on my washing machine but I used this on my water pipes and it fixed the issue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did what it’s made for [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine supply line shock absorber, did what I needed it to do. Made fixing everything much more easier. Like how it’s not the cheap plastic PVC piping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to do the trick! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my husband install this washing machine supply line shock absorber at my mom’s house, as she was complaining that her washing machine pipes were loud. This gadget was pretty easy to install and does take care of most of the noise. It’s not 100%, but much better than it was before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After installing this Quiet Pipes 3/4 in. x 3/4 in. Washing Machine Water Hammer Arrester I see no hammering noise which I used to hear every time I used to load the washing machine to use it. I installed it to the cold water supply pipe to washing machine and now I don’t see jerking of the washing machine hoses. I see noticeable change when I do loads in the washing machine. The installation of this water hammer arrestor is quite an easy job. It just took 10 to 15 min to install and put it to work. We just have to turn off the water supply to the valve. Screw the quite pipes to the valve threads.screw the water supply hose in to the quite pipes and tighten. Turn the water supply line back and see any leaks. All set to use if no leaks. Planning to install one to hot water supply pipe too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is experiencing the banging of pipes and want to get rid of the noises should try this.
