Outdoor Gate Kit
This is a great little Kit to quickly put together an outdoor gate. You then pick out your wood and assemble it how you want. You need to do some cutting. The staff at Rona were very helpful from the desk through the lumber yard.

Have removed two of these in the past month
Junk. Pure and simple. The hinges separate enough that the opening is reduced and the gate sags. Not acceptable. I have replaced two of these in the past month on two projects and replaced with real hinges. The angle brackets also too small to do any real good - need to be stronger and at least 2-3 inches longer.

Brackets are bent!
As other reviews have said the metal is bent. Same here and I bought two (2) kits and both have the hinge metal bracket bent on each end in both kits! Yes all 4 (2x2) hinge brackets are bent. Returning this. Don't waste time and money on this. If Pylex claims that they have quality control in production it cannot be true.

not square and cheap
Built a 2 doors gate made of cedar (42 and 55 inches wide but cedar is light). Bought 2 different door kits at Rona and this one was used for the larger door as the specs and price was higher on this one. I had help through the project and could oversee everything (shed, gates, fence...) and realized after a friend finished assembling the door how cheap this kit was. The door with this kit was not square and was sagging. The boards and planks were cut, assembled and clamped - it was too late.
I will rebuild the gate that was built with this product (455$ worth of material). What a mistake... don't buy this.

I installed the hardware onto my 40 wide by 5’ tall gate and noticed that one of the hinges wasn’t sitting flush ageist itself but installed it anyway. within two weeks I had to cut wood off the top of my gate as the hinges were sagging. The hinges have stretched and become stretched to the point that I have to manually lift the gate and close it.
Now 3 months later in -30 degree temps I need to change out the hinges so my family can close the gate and so my dog doesn’t escape.
