Comment on fait pour visser les pieux??
I want to built 2 decks 13 x 12 on top of each other (first floor and second floor) beside my duplex but not attached to it. How many Pylex do you recommanded ?
frost line is minimum 5 feet in montreal. Are there extensions or longer versions of this?
Would these be a good substitute for cement posts for 6 foot fence in clay soil. Post would need to be 4 feet deep avoid heaving
Comment ce fais l'installation ? Visé avec un 4x4 comme point de pivot pour le viser ?
Would these be good to hold a cedar gazebo? Would use one per post.
Peut-on utiliser ces pieux vissables dans du gravier (roches). Ll y a 9 pieds de gravier où je dois visser. Can we use Pylex scew in gravel? Its 9 foots deep of gravel where I need to install it.

VERY ISAPPOINTED!!
Very disappointed in this product since they redesigned it. I have used this on multiple decks in the past with great success, but the new design of the set-screw that holds the cap in place while screwing the post in is absolutely horrible! I'm sure it works fine if you only have sand or soft dirt to go into, but it doesn't work in clay or if there is any gravel at all. I definitely will not use again unless that design is fixed.

Up to 3500 lbs in clay!
Purchased 6 pylex ground screws and 6 extensions. Installed under my 12x18’ deck to a depth of 5.5 feet. I had my doubts that these can support 3500lbs each in clay earth. There is likely less than 1000lbs on each ground screw and i find i have to continuously adjust them as they are sinking. I now have to lay down concrete slabs and additional posts to support my deck. When they say “up to 3500lbs” they mean 0 to 3500lbs max. Waste of time and money in my case.

Pylex 50
Just installed 6 of these Pylex 50 as I am building a 14x16 deck. They went in fairly straight and easy. I do find that the top cap is fairly wobbly even though the base is firm. Is it supposed to be like this with the adjustable screw or even when the screw is off. I am worried that my deck will sway. I would recommend the product for ease of installation, but I am not sure about how well it will do for a deck application.

Anchor screw 50 inch
I had to borrow a impact drill with 1200 lbs of York to screw these into the ground a regular car impact won't do. Hand screwing with a 4x4 won't do. I choose this cause I didn't want to do the sono tube and didn't want to do concrete thing. If you hit a stone forget it .if I had to do it over again I would do the sono tube and concrete.
