Professional Glue Gun - Lever Feed - 40 W is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 103.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drip, Drip, Drip [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well after leaving a review earlier this year, I was contacted by an Arrow expert regarding the issue with the glue gun constantly dripping. The expert offered to send me a brand new glue gun, same model as I had the issue with. I received my new glue gun and I still have a serious issue with the glue gun constandly dripping and am wasting just as much glue as I'm using. I really wish there was a way for Arrow to resolve the issue with the dripping. I live on a fixed income and can't afford to be wasting glue. Arrow, do you have a solution for this?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Toppling and Slow I am usually very pleased with what I purchase from Lowe's so I was expecting this glue gun to be of good quality and work well. It topples over easily in spite of a "stand with drip tray". The stand is too flimsy and does nothing to balance the glue gun. I also had to push the glue stick down with my other hand in order to get enough hot glue. I may return it if I get the time. Otherwise, the one I threw out was about the same but the metal stand worked much better..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Temperature Glue Gun I use hot glue guns all then time for many different projects. I needed one that got hot enough but not too hot like the old ones that would burn the glue. This Arrow glue gun is great in that aspect. Works well by heating up the glue perfectly that you do not have to stick the items together immediately (like with the low temp ones) but you have a little time to make an accurate stick. The reason that I gave it a 4 star rating is because it falls over so easily. I rarely use the flip stand and just lie it down on its side on a piece of wood or something it can't ruin. If that doesn't bother you, then this is a great buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from When it worked it was ok First off the stand is a piece of garbage and not set wide enough to keep the gun from falling over. If that was the only problem with it I would have lived with it, after using it 4 or 5 times, the glue stick stopped feeding, like it was stuck in the chamber. I twisted the glue stick around several times and it started working, then a new stick could not push the old stick the rest of the way in, no trouble shooting guide anywhere, finally got fed up and tossed it into the garbage, won't buy arrow again. I know that they sell them for under $20 but I still think it should do what it is supposed to do for more that 4 hours. Don't waste your money

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Overall and Quite Durable, but Slow to Heat Up The fact of it being only 40W is my only complaint, as I suspect it is the reason why it takes so long to heat up to proper fast-flowing liquid glue temperature. I have yet to see a 1★ or 2★ review that made any kind of sense, and i can tell that a large chunk of problems are caused by people either not knowing or not caring what type of glue sticks they buy, but the slow initial heating up time ( minimum 20 min for the glue gun to reach the temperature at which the glue will melt and flow quickly, and require the least amount of pressure on the trigger ) is a bit much, and as I said I suspect it's just a wattage issue. Even 60W would've been enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An above average glue gun... In 2007, I went to Lowe's and saw the TR550 and loved the idea of the long and lean nose on it. The price I see today is relatively the same as it was on 2007. It heated up well, it had great endurance (especially when I've used it for over 12 hours a day), it laid down a good long bead (around 3ft at a medium trigger squeeze), and it easy to handle around tight spots. My first TR550 lasted until 2012, but my newest TR550 is already having feeding issues due to the spring is already showing major wear with less use. The quality has dropped immensely since 2007, which provoked me to write Arrow about this issue. They never responded to ANY of my emails. I wouldn't recommend this for industrial or commercial use for one reason, if you do lay down a long bead, you will end up waiting up to 3 minutes for the glue to refill the reservoir. That is a huge amount of down time for manufacturing production time.* The one thing that is vulnerable on the TR550, the little plastic stand on the front. It is worthless. It doesn't balance well, tips over easily, and if any gunk gets into the hinges, you are guaranteed to break it. The other vulnerability, as I mentioned before, is the feeder. Sometimes I have to push on the glue stick to get the trigger to catch it, when the reservoir is supposed to be filled. That is NOT how a glue gun works Arrow! *The cons are for the TR550's made from 2012 to the present.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Where are the cleaning instructions? This gun seems nice. Sturdier than others, etc., but ours is plugged up and there are no instructions for how to clean it. I removed the threaded nozzle, put it in boiling water and picked out the glue, and now it is soaking in acetone, but these are just guesses at what might solve the problem. I doubt this will work as I see there appears to be a ball valve in the nozzle, and I can't get it to open. It sure would be better if Arrow provided instructions for storage and cleaning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it & Hate it There is an issue with the stand. Very wobbly and tips easily, but i made my own so it's not an issue for me. I do a lot of crafting as nd my glue gun is sometimes on for 12+ hours a day. By the time I turn it off, there's just as much dripped glue as the amount I actually used. I don't have feed issues with the glue sticks getting started.... I have just the opposite.....it constantly drips and when I do pull the trigger, look out because it wont stop and I have a huge mess on my project.
