Can you attach a different head board to this frame?
No the head board fastens to the wall. The end tables are attached to the head board.

Is there anything needed or included to mount this cabinet to a stud wall @ 16" center?
I did not mount this cabinet to a wall. It was part of a complete set of cabinets that I aligned along my garage interior walls and did not require any type of extra support.
Hope this helps you. I would assume if you are mounting this to a wall without bottom support you might need some type of bracket adhered to a stud.

No I would advise against it. It would not hold up in wet weather.

No, you cannot use a box spring with this.
This bed has drawers on the sides and thus it is designed for use with box springs.

love the drawer space!
We got this bed a month ago and are still telling eachother that we made a good choice. It's great to have a place to put your bedding, handbags and any extra stuff I have, in the drawers, out of sight but easily accessible.
My only complaint is the assembly.It took us over 4hrs and 2 near break ups to put this bed together, partly because some of the holes didn't line up or hadn't been drilled deeply enough for the dowel to fit properly. Once we jigged things a bit, all has been well.

Price match for the win
I bought this unit from Lowe’s because they would price match the $500 difference from another competitor plus 10%. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the units as they do their intended job. My only complaint is that not all the units are perfectly square, so despite our best efforts, some parts sit higher than others, etc. The doors on the longest cabinet are not aligned properly and the one handle sits about an inch lower than the other. We thought adjusting the hinges (euro style) would fix it but nothing does. So if you’re looking for perfection, this isn’t the unit for you. If you don’t care about a few little issues then it’s fine.

Excellent!
I recieved the bed a few days ago in 3 packages (about 70 lbs each - pretty heavy but what do you expect for a queen size bed with drawers right?). My bf and I put it together yesterday. It was quite simple to put together, took only a few hours. My advice is to have two screw drivers as everything is screwed, so we had to take turns using it. If we had two then the time would have been reduced. Anyways, the look is awesome. Right now I don't have a mattress for it yet but I put my air mattress on top and it seems to have done the trick.

Nice Bookcase
I bought two of these for my daughter's bedroom. The bookcase itself looks great and was easy to assemble. I think the company chose cheap connectors (plastic instead of wood) to save a few pennies and I firmly believe it was a mistake. The front mouldings are not attached in the most secure way. They are simply "stuck" on with the plastic dowels (connectors). It feels like they will pop right off if you brush up against them. I will probably end up pulling it back off and securing it properly with glue and wood dowels. It's too bad, I think it is built well overall. Unfortunately there are a few glaring problems that really have nothing to do with the sturdiness of the unit.

The holes line up! ;)
The highest quality bed-in-a-box I have ever purchased. Comes in 4 separate boxes and takes around 2 hours to complete - Very well engineered. Sadly, it was missing hardware when received. I went to the prepac website, filled out a form, and they sent the missing parts right away with no questions asked.
Best thing about it all? Lowe's shipped it right to my doorstep for no extra cost! Which is really convenient considering the weight of the product.

King Size platform storage bed
I have been eyeing this for a couple of years. Luckily it went on sale (30% off I believe) so we bit the bullet. Much better support having our mattress on a platform bed rather than box springs. Love the 6-drawers! That was a huge reason for purchasing this particular king-size platform bed. All bedsheets, comforters and blankets are stored in the drawers, making more room in our small linen closet. It's been 2 weeks and everything is holding up well so far. My only wish is that it came in "oak" to match the rest of our bedroom furniture. Shipping said it weighs 206 lbs. Be warned, someone from Lowes (online e-mail) told me this size was being discontinued by Prepac. If you are looking to purchase it, you may want to purchase it sooner rather than later.

Beautiful
I was nervous purchasing this headboard because of some of the reviews- I wanted to see a picture, the color is a bit darker but I am used to that when buying mocha, some people wrote about the side tables and head piece not being flush and it's true but I love that feature! It looks modern. We feel like we're in a fancy hotel every night. Material seems sturdy so far. Very happy! It is large as we got a king size, make sure to measure your wall length to be safe. Will add photo soon
