Are these compatible with 250 MAH SOLAR BATTERIES THAT ARE IN THE LIGHTS I JUST BOUGHT FROM LOWES
Yes, as long as they are the same size. This battery is a 14430 size, which is slightly shorter than a AA.

Hi-priced, out-of-stock, unique-size, poor quality
These batteries are a unique size for solar-powered outdoor lighting. Having initially bought a set o 8 lights, all 8 have hardly ever worked at the same time. Is the problem the light or the battery? Hard to tell. Today - after a year and the purchase of 6 batteries - only 5 of the 8 lights are working.
The batteries are hardly ever available in the local Lowes, so I ordered the last 4 by mail. They are expensive, including shipping 7 handling. And I'm not sure that all 4 battereis work.
Very frustrating experience....

Lithium Batteries for solar walk lights
The solar pathway lights were purchased in June 2011 (2 sets of 8 plus one of a different style but same battery). The rechargeable batteries are supposed to last two years. Within six weeks of installation, eight batteries have been replaced out of 17 lamps purchased. Since then, more lamps have died, including some that had the batteries replaced. Clearly the batteries are flawed. The only replacements found so far are the same brand as those that came with the lamps. Recommend that one does not purchase these lamps until a suitable battery is available.
Lamps are by Yards & Beyond, model RS29M-P1-TB-8 (2 sets), plus a single lamp from Yards & Beyond called a Solar Spotlight, model SPS2-P1-BK-1. Batteries are also by Yards & Beyond, model 14430 Lithium Phosphate rechargeable battery, 250mAh.

Buy at your own risk
These batteries only worked for a couple of weeks. I receive adequate sun at my home to recharge them properly. They are low quality and not built to last very long. I will not waste my money on these batteries again.

Don't Purchase
First of all, these batteries don't keep a charge for very long. Secondly, they needed replaced within 2 weeks of purchase. Lastly, they are expensive.
Found replacement batteries (UltraLast) at "Batteries Plus" for almost half the price. Just hoping they're better quality.

short life
These batteries lasted less than a month. The original batteries lasted about eight months. Poor quality and value. A waste of time and money.

8 pack of portfolio solar lights
I purchased two boxes ( 8 lights) of outdoor portfolio solar lights in may 2013. I have repeatedly had to replace the batteries because they will not hold a charge Don't know what to do. Lights weren't cheap and two pack replacement batteries were over $12.
