Specs Are Not 100% Accurate Great Box Looks Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] $ stars for the box is well made and looks great. one star less for listing the dimensions as inaccurate
I bought a Chicago Tools Reciprocating saw I measured the length as 18 inches, Yet this box is listed as 20 inches in Length.
Shock the saw did not fit in the box. The reason the length is shortened by a few inches, with protruding supports on each side of the box. By that I mean left and ride sides of the box. Therefore the saw did not fit as the saw measures 18 inches.
Take two inches plus away from the length and you guessed it the box is no longer 20 inches long . The saw being 18 inches I would have to say the box length is around 17 inches as you can see by the photos the saw does not fit in the tool box
Well made looks great I might add

Perfect Size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally consolidated my three small containers of tools to a real toolbox and this one worked out perfectly. It was also extremely affordable. Great for someone like me who has to occasionally do home repairs, but doesn’t require a large tool set. Just the necessary home owner stuff.

Cheap quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The plastic rod on the top small compartment lid was broken. We ended up replacing it with a metal rod. I understand it wasn't a high dollar product, but the expectation of it being a quality Craftsman product were still there.

Low quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The plastic hinge was broken. Went to the store to exchange it. But the 2 others at the store had broken hinges also.

Carry around tool box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the size of this tool box. Iwouldn’t have bought it if I were going to carry very heavy things, but it is perfect for taking those tools that you need to a job. Depending on what is needed, I put those tools in it. There’s enough room and places for screws, nails, wire nuts and the like. Good value.

Sloppy injection molding
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not notice this flaw until I returned home. The two black lids on the top of the box. Had one pivot point each. The lids cannot be closed securely. I attempted to add 1 1/2" hinges. That did not work. Will return tool box. Purchase metal two drawer tool box.

Low quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very flimsy tool box. The top flaps on the lid have already broken, too small of pegs were used to create a hinge.

Not something I would reorder
So, when did Craftsman products become Crapsman? This toolbox is cheap, not inexpensive, cheap. I recently ordered and got a bigger Craftsman toolbox from here and it was a good sturdy box. This one is not. Luckily, I did not plan to use the recesses on the top of the lid, because the covers of the recesses broke off in shipping--bad design and junk plastic construction. Another lucky thing is that I do not plan to put a lot of weight in the box and carry it around a lot, because the carry handle looks to be the same.
