Super tool!
Had a clogged sink vent pipe...used the drain snake on roof and the cable disconnected and down the vent it went! Tried bending a wire hanger but was unable to hook cable. I remembered days gone by when my father had something he called mechanical fingers. A quick search online at Lowe's and I found these mechanical fingers, bought them online for in store pickup. Fifteen minutes later, up on the roof in the dark with this super tool and with a small amount of pressure, on pops the light, down the vent pipe, and viola...snake cable retrieved!! There was a bend in the vent pipe and the fingers on this tool were able to hook into the cable and hold on without coming off despite the resistance.

When you need it, you need it!
I already had one of these and have bought two as gifts. A great tool for retrieving socks from behind the clothes dryer, credit cards that have dropped between the seat and the console in the car, picking up screws that have fallen in places nothing else will fit. And the little LED light on the end makes it that much more useful. Every household needs one!

Great Product
I had a need to fish wire in an older home for porch lights. I used this item to grasp a string I had lowered into the wall cavity, it worked great. I would have been for ever trying to get the wire without this product, Money well spent

Works like it says!
Works well for picking up screws. The claw hand is a little bigger than I thought so it may not work well for small screws or very tight spaces. The light on the end is very handy though!

It works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to remove a pair of socks from my very expensive vacuum because my older "child" did not see them in the middle of the floor before he sucked them in to the long attachment arm that does not come apart. It worked perfectly and the light really helped because at first we didn't realize it was a pair of socks. I've also since used it to take plastic Christmas light clips off the front of the house because I'm to short to do it without a ladder.

Great Pick-Up tool, but light doesn't work
I was looking for something to replace my old Pick-Up tool. The guy in the store showed me that this tool is lighted also. I wondered how long the light would last. When I got home to show my wife the cool light feature, it was already broken. The mechanical pick-up tool is great, though.

Love the light
The light feature comes in very handy. On the first use, I needed to find a cable wire in the ceiling. I had to pull the wire from an unlighted area and get it thru a small hole. The grabbing devise had a strong hold and the light helped find the cable.

Almost Perfect
Great for grabbing relatively small items from confined spaces. I originally bought to retrieve items from "P" trap, didn't work to well, first removed the stopper to get this device in the drain, then couldn't observe the piece ended up just disassembling the trap---much easier. However I have used it several times since in the workshop retrieving miscellaneous hardware from behind workbench and power tools.
