No it takes special 22 Guage staples only.

I apologize, referring to 'depth control', perhaps I should have said 'Impact Control' ? Able to adjust/ control depth the staple goes into the wood? Hope to re-apholster some antique chairs & don't know if this stapler work. thx in advance.
Yes, You can control drive in depth. There is an adjustment control knob. The gun operates at 90 psi but you can also use slightly higher and lower air pressure for a little more or less than the control allows if needed.

does it have 'DEPTH' control?
No, this is a short nosed stapler. The length of the nose can't be adjusted. I use it for most projects. I buy my staples at Lowes.

apparently the staples are difficult to find.

Perfect for upholstery
This size is great, so comfortable to use. I’ve got the beginning of arthritis in my thumbs and was struggling with my electric stapler. This guy is so much more comfortable to use and very effective. Gets in to tight spaces nicely.

Paslode Stapler - Made in Canada. Solid, Sturdy, Reliable, Strong. A very good stapler for reupholstering 12 office chairs. Very comfortable grip. Easy to handle/use for smaller hands (female). Easy to use. Simple to load staples.
