Can this heater be mounted outside and plumbed into existing plumbing?
The Onsen 10L is a recreational, portable tankless water heater designed to be mounted and operated on a temporary basis only. It would not be recommended to be used as a permanently plumbed water heater.

the only water source is from a tank. Can the pump be used on the intake side and is it possible to attach a stove pipe to the exhaust so it can be used inside?
Yes, the Onsen 3.0 pump must be connected to the water inlet of the water heater as shown in the main product image above. Also, the Onsen 10L is not designed to be fitted with a pipe or chimney at the exhaust.
