Great protection for young trees, and older ones.
These are an essential protective covering for young trees, especially during the colder months. They not only keep the bark from splitting, these coverings also protect the trunks from pets and rodents nibbling/clawing, etc.
I had to replace several trees, unfortunately, and was very happy to find these tree guards. They are sturdy enough to last for a few years as my trees mature and will easily expand while the trees grow. I had to use two or three of the tree guards/wraps on some of the tree trunks in order to cover the bark properly (no sense in only partially covering them and risking my investment, right?).
