Easy to install and easy to adjust latch in the event of shifting. I bought them a couple of years ago and they were on sale for $109 each.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hammerin Hank from 5 Star Product with 1 Star Instructions Solid Gate. Good value. Install instructions incorrect (it seems that the install instructions have not been updated since the change from face frame hinge to self closing hinge)... 1) hinge has to be mounted on the inside of the post not on the face of the post as indicated in the instructions. Place the hinge on inside of the post so that the hinge pin is on the side that you want the gate to open towards. 2) you will need to create a 1/8" x 1/4" channel for the spring end to recess into your post other wise the hinger does not seat on the post. 3) the latch has a 1/4" offset bend. I believe this worked for the face frame hinge product. But with the self close hinges, the latch needs to be mounted so that it is 1/4" proud of post. Either set post forward (if an option, as I did with a new fence install) or come up with some kind spacer that is 1/4" thick (perhaps washers). 4) If working with aluminum fence posts, you will need to obtain your own metal screws. Our fence system has an aluminum post. Used #12 X3/4 self tapping screws. Drill a 5/32 pilot hole and then thread screws. I was able to use bolts and nuts instead of screws in 2 of the four holes to attach the hinges. 5) Lastly, attach the hinges to the post first. Instructions say to attach to the gate first. Not sure how you can attach the gate (sort of heavy) with the hinge in the closed position. It is quite easy to slide the gate into the hinges by opening up one hinge, sliding the gate into the bracket, loosely attaching the bolts and then repeat for the other hinge. Do the final gate height adjustment and tighten bolts. It will take more than 20 minutes (as advertised on the wrapping). But with the right instructions it goes in well and it is a solid gate. I would give the product 5 stars and the instructions 1 star.

After receiving the royal run around by 3 different young clerk, the counter send me an older gentlemen who tried to find the product for me: Even if the stocks showed 7 there was NONE! Wasted 2 hours and 40KM for NOTHING! UNACCEPTABLE!

I needed to oil the hinges as they were quite squeaky. Please read the review by Hammerin Hank as it will help you immeasurably. He is totally right that the instructions are deficient. Follow his tips for a relatively easy installation. Thanks Hank!
