Ceiling box. 4 in. (H) x 3 3/4 in. (W) x 2 3/4 in. (D). Made of plastic. Loomex clamps. Positioning tabs eliminate the need to measure for 1/2-in. drywall installation. 4 hinged cable entry tabs. Easy access to bottom-mounted ground screw. Internal screw slots for all devices. Grey.

fine box (not for ceiling fans)
these are installed in residential homes all the time. there is no issue with these on new construction. NOT MADE FOR CEILING FANS OR REWORK..the problem would be for someone who should not be doing electrical work ... the box itself allows easy installation and extra room for conductors
