Is this vinyl? It doesn’t say in the description. What is SPC?
If you look at the specifications, it states vinyl plank. I would definitely look at this product since it is now on clearance!

In the picture the planks appear to have a beveled edge but in the specs it states that it is a square edge plank. Could you possibly clarify this for me? Thank you
In store, these fit with a square edge - no bevel.

Awesome Flooring
When I saw the reviews saying this was difficult to install I was a little nervous. But it is actually very easy and they click together very well so long as they are lined up. I am in love with our floors now. It is smooth, looks clean, fantastic. The contrast between light and dark boards is great, and honestly we had no issues. Two of the boards had chips right out of the box. Did living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms and a hallway.

Garbage
Very easy to install compared to many LVT's we've installed previously as a homeowner and as a contractor. All joints were locked in and tight but after about a month the joints starting snapping, much too thin of a tongue/groove. Lowes has filed a complaint on our behalf but that 500 + sq ft is now garbage.

Never going back to laminate!
Having installed wood, laminate and now vinyl, vinyl is my go to every time! Cut with an ex’s to and ruler. Brilliant. This product was great to install AS LONG AS ITS LINED UP PROPERLY! If you try to click and it’s offset it will break the lip. My only quip is that the boxes were a bit banged up so several corners were chipped. So check your boxes before buying! and the price!? Come on, it’s great!

-5 TERRIBLE! - Breaking & Splintering. Warranty?
Have previously used monoserra laminate which would get great reviews as it took a kicking in our old house with kids and pets…… its actually still in great shape.
This vinyl monoserra amber oak is not even worth my time doing this review, but don’t want other to do what I did.
I renovated an old house and purchase +2000sqft of this vinyl plank flooring. As 1000sqft was in a basement in the new house I decided to purchase the vinyl instead of other floors just in case we ever see water down there and the vinyl has a 25 year warranty. Seemed like the best choice.
Was very easy to install. simple score and snap. Leaving ¼” gap around the room for expansion & contraction. Sub floors where all new ¾” T&G ply and used the standard Monoserra grey/black roll out underlay as the flooring has no underlay bonded to the back. You must have the JOINTS LINED UP PERFECT prior to locking in the plank. If you don’t the vinyl lock chips or breaks. Some of the boxes came with broken or chipped corners due to shipping and transport of 2x skids which is understandable. These pieces can still be used as starts or ends or in a closet.
Flooring went down great and looked fantastic! Trim and baseboards where all completed in the house and we moved into our new house! Yay!
We have lived in the new house for NOT EVAN 1 Year (9 months) now and the flooring has started to fall apart! Not only fall apart, but SPLINTER making hazards in the house if walking in bare feet. Main area affected is in the kitchen where we see the most traffic. Basement is fine as we never go down there.
The planks are breaking at both joints (long and short) and even cracking down the middle of the planks. Once this happens the movement f the plank works out the corners and joints. The wife has vacuumed up the debris and now there are gaps in the planks. I am so ever disappointed and disheartened as I take great pride in my work. We did the entire house in this flooring and now have to redo everything not even a year later.
This flooring has a 25 year warranty! I contacted the Rona store I purchased from regarding warranty. They instructed me to directly deal with the manufacture. I contacted the manufacture and they advise me to deal with the store for warranty claims. Long story short……. after a lot of back and forth between the store and manufacture. Emailing photos, receipts, etc. I think…… we have a warranty claim submitted to Monoserra the manufacture. Been a few months now and haven’t heard anything nor not really know what to expect from this as I have never actually submitted a warranty claim. Will keep emailing the store and Monoserra for a follow-up as the flooring is BREAKING and SPLINTERING more and more each day causing more and more hazards.
I keep siliconing planks to keep it together until I know what my plan is going to be.
