This says the finish is laminate....is it hard laminate like arborite or is it laminated paper that will peel off?
This is a hard surface and the quality is very impressive. There is a slight texture, adding to the reclaimed wood aspect. The desk exceeded my expectations

Love it
Bit nervous because of a previous negative review but liked the look so went ahead and purchased. Ended up v satisfied - looks great, reasonable quality, very solid when assembled, drawers work perfectly. However, this is not a project for a beginner – many pieces, lots of hardware, and the instructions are almost laughably bad. You can get there if you have a space where you can lay everything out (I used my garage/workbench) and take your time.
