Description
This Craftsman® mitre box is a necessary tool to cut perfect angles every time. The included back saw will allow you to cut the whole piece without cutting the box itself. The box allows you to cut at 90° or 45° angles in addition to the different face angles: 45° and 22.5° to the left, 90°, and 45° and 22.5° to the right. The included cam-shaped pins allow to solidly secure your piece and ensure a perfect cut. Moulded-in storage bins allow it to hold the pins and some pencils inside the mitre box.
- Cam-shaped pins twist and lock with honeycomb base to secure work for accurate cuts
- Cuts mitre on 45° and 90° angles, face angle 45° and 22.5° angle for octagonal shapes
- Extended lip on base holds mitre box in place while cutting and a built-in saw stop helps prevent cutting into mitre box

Better Then Expected
I wasn't expecting much from such an inexpensive miter box and saw combo, but it has come in so handy when needed, although I generally use it for cutting smaller stock. The cam shaped pins holds your work well and keeps the saw in place for storage. I use edge grommet material to protect the blade when not in use. I also mounted the box to a short board with a lip that holds the box against the edge of the work bench, or any other available surface, to prevent it from moving back and forth. I've read the negative review, but I'm quite happy with mine. It would be hard to beat for the price.

Disappointing
I knew the limitations of buying a plastic mitre box before I bought, but I just wanted to cut some lumber square without dragging out the power equipment every time. To my surprise, the limitation of this assembly isn’t the box, it was the saw. The saw continually binds up regardless of pressure to the point that it would take 10 minutes per cut to get through. I scrapped this after a few tries after determining it would be easier to drive to the storage unit a power cut and drive back instead of using this simple saw. I’ve used other mitre boxes/saws, and I can’t explain why this was soooo bad, but it truly was.....

Great result - but a bit hard to handle.
Man! I don't know if I used it right. It was very hard to cut. I often had to remove the saw and go in just one direction. It took a long time and required much effort. HOWEVER - it was very simple to use and the end results were great. I didn't have to repeat a single cut because of an uneven line. Used for making a TV frame. It turned out really nice. My only complaint is how much work it required -- however, I don't know that a design improvement would have made any difference.

Great miter box setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This miter box and saw has been really great in cutting trim for home renovations and other small projects. I especially appreciate the feature which locks the wood into the box so there’s no sliding around and cuts are accurate.

Great for cutting angles on small projects.
I had some issues with getting my outside corner trim, so I bought this miter saw. It allowed the saw to get through the grooves easily and the saw seemed to cut with easy strokes. The miter saw provided all three angle degree's that are typical standard cutting angles. For trim and molding this was convenient for on the spot cutting. If its nailed down for stability it's a plus. It got the job done.

Simple Saw solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw and miter box meet a need. The combination is a not a precision system but it is inexpensive and gets the job done. I used it to cut cedar planks to line a closet and it worked. It is hard to predict how long it would stand up to heavy use but for small projects where power tools aren't readily available it makes it easy to get fairly straight cuts at common angles. The included pegs that are meant to keep the saw straight to maintain a small straight kerf weren't useful for this project as the planks weren't sized to accommodate the peg holes but they may be heloful on other projects. I was a skeptical of using a plastic box but it held up for the project and doesn't show any serious wear and tear. The saw is not premier quality but it does work and I think is worth the price.

Craftsman miter box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product for small or large project cuts. I screwed the miter box to one of my saw horses and ran my base mold down the other to hold it straight, it can also be used on the ground. Give me quick precise cuts each time and I am flying through my home remodel. The plastic hold up great even when I get cutting to fast and cut into it.
