Description

This Mitek Jack Post adjusts from 18-inches to 24-inches to provide temporary or secondary support beneath stairs, crawl spaces, porches and decks. My concrete footing is below grade. Can I bury the bottom 4 inches of the support post, or should I protect it from any contact with the earth. This is inside a crawl space and vapor barrier will be laid down after the support posts go in.

Unfortunately the footings have to be below grade as the post will not fit under the new beams. I think I will put the non perforated black drain pipe around the base, this will keep the dirt away and paint with the rust paint. Thanks for your thoughts..........
