Hi, Icnon. Thanks for your question about the Midea 14,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner. The exhaust temperature should be around 150 degrees (F). Best portable AC I've ever had
Have been using it around one week now, really love it! Finally have a good looking AC unit on the market. It's surprisingly quiet, my previous portable ac is too noisy that sometimes i need to turn it off so i don't have to turn on the tv volume, this unit just fades in, it's a bit loud when first started, but after the room is cooled, the noise is barely noticeable. Super easy to install too, the hose is already connected with the unit, all the other accessories can be easily click in, took me less than 5min to finish installation. Wind speed, temperature & modes controllable by App&Google home, very convenient to ensure my cats are playing in a cool room when I'm not home lol. So easy to use. Great product!

Exhaust Hose Does Not Fit
The exhaust hose does not tighten properly and will not stay in the template provided with the unit. We had lean cut for it and it will stay in it either. Having contacted the company multiple times by phone and email they cannot grasp this and won't help out at all. We have jerry-rigged something to at least make it functional and it is not a pretty sight but got the machine working. The unit does provide nice cool air however if you want a quality product we suggest shopping for another brand. For the $700 including taxes it is simply not worth it.

Does it's job, average design for exhaust fitting
Bought it today, goes well and not overly noisy, installation guide and materials are less than perfect, one component came broken and the fit of components is loose for exhaust - window attachment.
Instructions seem to have been translated from Chinese as they don't quite make sense... if you aren't a handy person, get someone to install it for you...
For $650 you might expect a little more refinement for fitting, but all aside, my house is now 18 degrees instead of 28 so I'm happy as Larry.

Great Unit!
Bought this a couple weeks ago to replace an 8 year old Danby; similar size. I wanted a dual hose unit, and this was the only one I could find in Vancouver.
It's fantastic - a lot of people mention the noise, but it's actually pretty good for an AC unit. My Danby sounded like a jet engine, so this is a dream; though it does have a weird low osciliating type noise; but you tune it out quickly.
The hose-in-hose design is great, looks nicer than two separate ones and I love how the whole thing packs up neatly for storage. I can't comment on how easy it is to move as I live in a small apartment so it stays put the entire season. It's VERY heavy, so beware bringing it into your house.
My only gripe is that my insulator slip cover doesn't fir the larger hose; would be nice if Midea made one themselves as it would improve the efficiency.
Guess we'll see if it lasts as long as my Danby.

I'm impressed!
This air conditioner is worth all of time I spent researching online to find the best and reasonably priced air conditioner. I already knew that a dual hose was better than a single one and the idea of the inverter is practical. The first review and photo helped to convince me.
There is not much to assemble and I did it myself. I made sure to use white duct tape to seal around the window frame and areas where I could still see exposure to the outside. The only issue is that the hose connection does not attach that well but it seems to be secure now. I will put duct tape over that if I have to.
It runs smoothly and is very quiet compared to the one we used to have. It really does cool up to 550 sq. feet, including our kitchen area, which is important to me.
The remote is easy to use but I press the buttons on the machine just as much as I do the remote. I didn't need something with all the bells and whistles. I just wanted an air conditioner that would function properly, efficiently, and economically and I found it!I'm recommending it to my family and friends especially as the summer is supposed to be hot and dry. Get it now!

Presque parfait!

Life saver! Works well so far
I had a "10,000 btu" unit from years ago and it never worked too well, and I always thought I needed a split-unit or window AC to feel cooled in the summer months. In anticipation of the current heat wave, I did a lot of research and learned to look for the "new" btu standard of SACC and not the ASHRAE standard which overestimate the AC's actual cooling power. This Midea unit is rated at 14,000 ASHRAE / 12,000 SACC which is the highest I've seen in portable ACs. The dual-hose (hose-in-hose for this unit) is likely how it achieves those numbers, and the inverter design helps to keep it efficient.
In real life usage we have a 450 sq/ft area with 9" ceiling to cool, with the apartment facing west (insane late afternoon heat!). This unit is able to maintain a comfortable 25 degrees (medium speed, set to 20, outside temperature 30-32), and 28 degrees (high speed, set to 18, outside temperature 36-39). I think the performance can be better once I install a plexiglass panel, to keep the hot air out.
So far this AC has been a life saver for us, with a young baby and an apartment with lots of windows facing west. The noise on low speed is acceptable for us.
Overall, and based on only a week of experience with it, I'd recommend it as a cheap way to keep things cool, for people like me that can't install window or split-unit ACs.

More a Lowes review than product
I purchased this product early May as they are in high demand. The price jumped up $100 early in the year. A competitor has the identical in stock product in black rather than white. It is over $220 cheaper. Lowes refuses a price match because it is a different colour..
Additionally, Lowes charges an extra 5% fossil fuel tax that no other competitor is charging. All in I paid $250 more than the other store.
I now will have to return the unit to Lowes and pick up at competitor which is difficult without a vehicle. The price match would be much simpler and fair.
