How thick is the plywood deck?
7/16th of an inch thick plywood. Not including the steel cross braces below the plywood. Just bought 2 of these units.

I have the Werner version of this scaffold and would like to know if the Werner and Magtech systems are compatible so that I can stack them to reach a taller ceiling? Thanks
You MIGHT be able to. Many of the newer scaffold systems fit together. I thought I needed two stacked together but unless your ceiling is over 13 feet you should be able to use the top rung of the scaffold and your above your head reach to get to 13. If you need over 13 you must look at getting outriggers for the bottom scaffold so it does not tip. Almost learned that the hard way.

Good piece of Gear
This scaffold makes things so much easier. Very good value for the price. It is very well made and very functional. Easy to change the heights, although not instant, take the platform off, just lifts off, then adjust the height as required. It rolls very smoothly over tarps and reasonably smoothly over electrical chords. It does go together with just one person. I'm 57 years old and have no problem putting it together. Carrying it all at one time in the box... that's a different matter, but piece by piece, not a problem. I'm thinking about using it a shelf in the garage when it's done with the projects inside. It's good to go.

Very good value
I am also a one man contractor and this scaffold is an excellent buy. It is very well designed and portable. It is not designed for heavy day to day use but for the occasional installation job requiring safe working at heights normally worked on a ladder, it performs great. I do out of town jobs and drive a soccer mom van loaded with cable so space is always a big consideration. I can get all of my cable, tools and 2 levels of the scaffolding inside the van and the safety rails on the top rack. All in all it is the best solution I have found for safety and convenience.

Does the job
I would have given this an "excellent" for quality, but it came with a caster that had a broken locking mechanism. The second thing I would like to see would be a thicker plywood deck - although the deck it comes with is sufficient.
It's a good, useful investment though, and a good value from Lowes. The best price I could find locally was more than Lowes price. The "other" big-box store didn't sell the MetalTech except online, and they wanted 2/3rd's more $$$ for it, plus a ton more for shipping! This is a very good value, and having used one before, I know it's durable!
I would definately suggest this to a friend, and will likely buy a second one, with outriggers and a safety cage.

Metaltech scaffolding
As a contractor that uses scaffolding occasionally I find this a great value for the occasional user that doesn 't like to pay rent .It is not designed for heavy use like bricklayers etc. If you use this day in and out then it will not last. Buy the commercial grade for twice the price per section. I am a one man contractor who takes care of my equipment. The deck board is adequate for me at 250 pounds. It would be excellent for a homeowner. The wheels and wheel locks are good. The locking pins are pretty good. It needs to be kept on a stable flat surface.

Great tool. Watch the video!
Great tool. Bought to install a Window Air Conditioner. It is My helping hand. Building a frame out of Marine plywood for secure, tight seal for the AC. Used as work bench to cut the plywood. Placed a 45 lb weight on top to hold Marine plywood when cutting. Not a wobble. Easily adjusts. Secure easy to use pins. I'll use as shelf for water dispenser bottles(large) between projects. Can stack three high. They make a plywood platform with trap door too! You can climb up inside of frame through trapdoor. Can stack 3 with outriggers. They have safety rails reasonably priced too. Just look around. I learned some of this elsewhere .Hint your local Lowes will price match....Bottom line, extremely happy with the purchase.

An Excellent Investment!
This scaffold is excellent quality and makes working on ceilings or high walls so much safer than a ladder as long as you are on a hard, level surface. Lowe's had the product in stock, loaded it and I was on my way in minutes. Ease-of-use is average only because it takes a couple of tries to get everything assembled. Once you know the tricks, it is simple. However, it requires two people to assemble and to raise or lower the platform. Just one would be very busy... Overall, a lifesaver for me and well worth the money.

Great Scaffold
Easy and fast to install. It seemed sturdy and safe to work off of on the highest platform setting. Uses safety pins to hold the scaffold together and all wheels lock. I didn't use it for drywall but to paint a high ceiling in my house. Finished the job faster then working off of a ladder and felt much safer on the scaffold. Very happy with this buy.

Very stable scaffolding
I purchased this scaffolding when I was building a garage/workshop. Even when the platform is at the highest level it is very stable and you feel safe working on it. It is easy to put together and adjust to other working heights.
