Great deal for the price
I always used brad guns for my crown but hated the nail holes it left, so I purchased a really cheap pin gun that lasted about 10 minutes as it misfired and had the pins bending all over the place. I started a large kitchen and knew I needed a decent pinner for it to look good, as I also had to fill every hole I made. The kitchen had 8' cabinet height but 9' ceilings that were to be filled in with 5 piece crown and this pinner made it work. They were very strong holding and never misfired once, they also set at a decent depth fastening maple to maple pieces. The double trigger takes a while to get used to, but the bonus is no nosepiece to block your view like the brad gun. It needs a belt hook that the brad gun has though.

Works great in production setting for cabinetry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this gun two to three days a week on average, and it performs well. The higher end cabinets with maple and oak trim will require the air pressure to be turned up to about 115psi to set consistently countersunk pins. With lower end ply and pine cabinetry 90 lbs. I assemble flat pack cans with pins and glue up with no problems, for the most budget friendly kitchens I offer, I simply set up my shop of tables benches saws and a tent outside and build the cabs, go inside and install while the pins hold until the glue sets so I get one day kitchens complete in the 1 day promised.

Will NOT Adjust Nail Depth
Don't bother with this piece of junk. Following depth adjustment instructions and increasing/decreasing air pressure, the depth is exactly the same which is inadequate. Nails are crowning well above work surface and no adjustment will alter the depth. The depth range is extremely small to begin with but since it makes no difference it doesn't matter anyway. Also, the company does not provide a customer service number to call with questions.
The C-shaped brackets around the two allen screws are the limits to the depth adjustment, which is nearly zero range. There is not position that changes the depth of the drive. Wasted many pins trying to test for depth.

Hitachi 23 Gauge Pin Nailer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In about 4 months I have acquired a Framing Gun, 16 gauge Finish Gun, 18 Gauge Brad Gun and now the 23 gauge Pin Gun. The 23 gauge is rapidly becoming my favorite of all. It limits clamping, and assists in holding in place while glue dries. And all the above without leaving more than a small pin head size mark which often does not even require filling. When I discovered Air Nailers, I had to have one of each. Thanks Lowe's Hardware.

Good Product
Works as expected, case is ok and nice that the tool comes with protective tip and a spare tip. Oil bottle and on board allen wrench are useful. Well thought out accessories .

Hitachi 23 gauge Pin Nailer
Works great just like advertised. However, the manufacturer specs say it will handle 5/8" up to 1-3/8" nails. I tried 1/2" nails and they worked just fine. Not sure why they specify minimum of 5/8".

Pro quality
Bought this and used it on a couple of projects before I wrote a review. In short: this nailer is superb. I built a doll house shelf for my daughter out of 1/4" poplar and the pins held the boards together well until the glue dried. Also used it to do a minor repair on the trim to my kitchen cabinets. Nails were driven flush, if not a bit countersunk with no need to fill because they're so small. A great tool for the pro to hobbyist like me. Good ergonomics and case as well. Only complaint is lack of a belt hook or hanger to hold gun while in use.

Great Addition
I have been woodworking for couple of years now and needed a pin nailer for adding trim work. As I already own other Hitachi products that I am very pleased with this was an easy choice. Works as advertised and virtually leaves no holes to fill.
