I've used the tool to install storage racks in my garage and to add a dormer to my roof. The price was more than I wanted to pay; but now that I've used the tool, I understand that the nailer is worth every penny because of the quality of the work that it allows me to accomplish. I highly recommend this nailer to anyone who needs a dependable tool for heavy-duty nailing.

It is durable and dependable. I like that you can change the fire settings to single or bounce. I use it with work and personal use. Cheap to rebuild and parts are easily accessible. It has great balance in the hand. Great product hands down

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Metabo Framing Nailer This is my first framing nailer. I am still learning the depth adjustments and the pressure on my tank. I used this to build a firewood storage shed. I always use glue and screws for my project but I really wanted to start learning framing and this is the gun that is going to get me there. Why? I see this style used a lot on YouTube framing videos, beyond the cordless nailers. I have a few cordless trim nailers and wouldn’t mind trying the new Metabo cordless nailer, but for now, this is my baby. The connections are great, I added a Metabo hose. And I enjoy the bump fire. I have put about 500 nails through it, 31/4 and 2”, all exterior. Really speeds up the job. Except when you make a mistake. Ring shanks are hard to pull out, unlike a screw. I am happy with purchase and oil it every day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wigwam63 from As usual a great tool. Only grip is with the rafter hook that comes with. Gun works as good as it always has. Do not like the rafter hook that came with the gun. not as convenient or easy to use as the after market products were used too.

I don’t like to cheap out on my tools due to the fact that they’re the ones you rely on to make money! The gun has worked flawlessly since I’ve had it, doing projects such as framing and some small house repairs. I know it will stand the test of time!

I had it connected to a small pancake compressor and the nailer performed great with the constant pressure changes of the compressor. The adjuster is easy to use and loading is smooth. Really like that you can nail up to a single nail left.

I've gone through rigid and dewalt framers through the years and none of them hit as hard as the NR83A5. It's smooth operation and minimal maintenance. If your looking for a good framing gun look no further.
