Leaks Like a Sieve
I bought this hose a few years ago and it worked fine the several times I used it. For the last 3-4 years the the hose has been unused stored coiled up safely in a storage bin in my garage. I got it out last week and discovered it had at least 5 separate crosswise slits making it useless. It never was subjected to any rough use, exposed to chemicals or any sharp objects or left out in the sun. The working pressures were never higher than the maximim of 120 psi of my pancake air compressor. The hose should not have failed with such little use and being stored properly.

OK. This is a very good hose for interior work; flooring, trim, etc. The bad reviews are from folks that do not know what they are doing or otherwise unwise. This hose is not for high production framing or roofing. FYI, any hose will get perforated under high pressure (120 psi) production or other high volume outside type work so you'll need a less expensive field reparable rubber hose. Bad reviews by people abusing equipment are unfair to other end users and the products reviewed. I am an expert construction craftsman and an ICC certified Building, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector.

Poor Quality
The hitachi 1/4 x 100 air hose that i purchased less than two months ago has developed several holes. It randomly creates air bubbles and then pop sounding like a gun is going off. I like the diameter and light weight of this hose is excellent, but the quality is very poor, I have purchased several hitachi products with excellent results, but this is not one of them. I would not recommend this product if you need a dependable air hose.

poor quality product
Have been using this hose for 1 year and it has been patched and cut 5 times due to leak.
Pro: lightweight, compact
Con: gets kink easily, the polyurethane layer is so thin and gets melt or cut or wear down so easily when making contact to the portable air compressor or rub again shingle edges.
Will not recommend to buy this.

Terrible quality and customer service
Hose works as described for about the first few times you use it except for the fact that it kinks and gets tangled constantly. Now mine leaks where the threads meet the hose. If you contact customer support they are no help. The product only carries a 90 day warranty and their power tools only carry a 10 day warranty. I am going to steer clear of Hitachi products from now on and choose a different company that stands behind what they manufacturer.

Hitachi 1/4 100' air hose
I bought two 1/4 100'Hitachi air hoses before starting a roofing job.. hooked them up to a 150 psi compressor and set my air pressure gauges to 100 psi on both , they both popped within the initial 10 minutes of use. Sorry i think this item is faulty. The two extra (new) 1/4 50'Hitachi hoses that I had worked fine.

air hose
have 5 holes after using for 1 year, mainly to fix fences. Its skin got melted easily when comes in contact with a hot air compressor. it is light, uses very little storage space but poor construction quality . Not recommended to anyone. Going to try out another brand.
