Description

This professional quality electric air compressor is equipped with a 0.5 HP motor. Its oil-less feature doesn't require any maintenance. The 59 dB noise level makes it a much appreciated quiet tool. It can reach a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. The motor overload protection stops the motor in a possible overload situation. The compressor is backed by a limited 1-year warranty.

Can this be converted to 3/8th fitting?

Hi canadabuilder. A 3/8" hose is a big hose for this compressor. We would recommend you consider a larger compressor model for this application. The EC28M is 1CFM @ 90PSI so a 3/8" would not be ideal. Hope this helps.

Can this be used for removing dust from things?  Does it have as much or more pressure than, say, a can of compressed air?

Hi there. This compressor is designed for powering pneumatic nailers. It definitely has more pressure than a can of compressed air. On several of our pneumatic finish nailers, you can find a dust blower button that can be used to direct the compressed air to clear away dust and debris when connected to a compressor. Please check out the NT65MA4M or N3804A5 to see that feature. Hope this helps.

It replaces a noisy, two hand or dolly mobile compressor that died just as I was starting the job. I used a pin nailer and a stapler and although I knew it was going to be quiet I was pleasantly surprised with just how quiet it is. Never ran out of air and it was a delight to move; no more packing it around on a mover's dolly. Wont try a 3/4" impact on it but for what I want if for it is PERFECT. Highly recommend this compressor.

Did they send me an air compressor with a metric connection?

Very impressed - its super quiet, sturdy build and has all the components of a top end unit. I did the break in as per owners manual on the kitchen table and could barely hear the unit run. Its no wonder there are so many excellent reviews. I researched every 1 gallon compressor available in the market place and chose this one as it is the best value and the best compressor you will find at a affordable price. Highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a small and compact compressor. Thanks for reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DavidTwoTrees from Quiet, well built, lightweight, decent price. I bought a 1-gallon compressor (Husky?) some years back from Home Despot. For $48 it did the job. BUT. It was noisy as heck, and took a long time to come up to pressure. I'm not a contractor anymore, but I would never bring that noisy thing into someone's home. The Metabo HPT EC28M is a whole step above that screaming MiMi of a compressor. Cost 5 times more, but what a difference. When I first plugged it in, I was immediately reminded of gear from Honda- QUIET. It is solidly made. It comes up to pressure quickly. Everything on it seems solid. Not to mention it looks good- well built.

It is light and small. It's perfect for one person doing trim install or hanging doors. I've run two people off this unit, and while it cycles more often, it kept up no problem. I'm not sure this would be good for roofing or nailing down underlayment. But I've also never tried to use it for that. This is my go to air compressor for all my cabinet install work. It's nice when you have to run out doing punch out list by yourself too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet is an understatement; I bought this as an alternative to my metabo hpt pancake compressor for when I am installing baseboards or quarter round (although it can be used with a framing nailer if needed) so as to not disturb customers or their pets. This compressor is so quiet you have to make sure it is switched on. Many customers have even commented on the compact design (very light) and the lack of noise that it produces under load. Would highly recommend to contractors and people who value their hearing!!!
