Is there a rafter hook that fits onto this gun or what rafter will fit?
Hi there. This nailer does not come with a rafter hook. However there are many after market options for rafter hooks that could work on this unit. Hope this helps.

I'm wondering if I can use this nailer gun with this compressor? https://www.portercable.com/products/power-tools/air-compressors/air-compressor-combo-kits/3nailer-and-compressor-combo-kit/pcfp3kit
Hi there. It appears that specific Porter Cable pancake compressor would not be a good choice for the Metabo HPT framing nailer- it likely doesn't provide enough air for framing applications. If you were to use it- it would likely be running almost constantly. You may want to consider a larger compressor like Metabo HPT's EC99S that you may be able to special order thru the Pro Desk potentially or consider a wheelbarrow compressor type that is more suitable for larger framing applications. Hope this helps.

Can I use round head or offset head nails also in this mail gun? I know they must be thirty degree, paper collated but a friend was convinced it would take a variety of nail head types. Thanks!
HI there. The NR90ADS1M has a thirty degree magazine. Therefore it can accept any 30 degree paper collated "clipped head" nails OR "round head offset" paper collated nails. If you want to use round head nails that are plastic collated, then you would need to consider our model NR90AES1M which has a 21 degree magazine and only accepts 21 degree plastic collated round head nails. Hiope this helps.

Will it use Pasload nails?
Hi there. The NR90ADS1M will accept paper collated clipped head nails ranging from 2" - 3-1/2" in length and .113"- .148" in diameter. If your Paslode nails meet these specifications you can use them. We do offer a full line of genuine Metabo HPT fasteners that will also work in this tool. Hope this helps.

Real work horse!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to build a shed from scratch. Right now I have all four walls up and the roof is going on next. During one part of the construction I mistakenly nailed into a very hard knot in a 2 by 4. This resulted in a nail only half sunk into the board and a very twisted and distorted nail that was also now jammed in the head of the nailer. I had to remove the nail from the gun with a small punch and hammer, all the while wondering, how will it perform afterwards? It hasn't missed a beat!

Honest Opinion
I saw a lot of bad reviews for this nailer when I bought it and it had me worried. I’m a carpenter by trade and my ancient (but paid for itself 100 times over) porter cable had just blown its guts out of the trigger slot and I needed something that would last but at a decent price. I had my heart set on the Max Superframer that I’ve grabbed on site and loved but this gun was on a decent sale so I bought it. I’ve ran it at least eight hours a day, five to six days a week for three months now without any issues even after my co-worker launched it off the roof of a three story apartment complex. I’ve never been disappointed by my hitachi tools, and the name change certainly hasn’t changed the quality. I kicked myself at the time that I didn’t shell out the extra money for the HPT NR83A5 but this gun’s not let me down yet after a rigorous trial period and after the abuse it’s taken. I’d recommend it to anybody, pro or diy. Good gun at a good price.

Metabo HPT MetaboHPT 3.5-in-Gauge Framing Nailer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've already run the first box of 2500 3-1.4" nails through this unit and it works flawlessly. I've used older units in the past that weighed 15 to 18 pounds and this is a nice light 7 pounds! It's a dream to use with these old shoulders. You almost don't know your working. I highly recommend this tool. If fact I liked it so much I replaced an older much heavier roofing nailer with a Metabo yesterday. Great job guys!

Good quality nailer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good nailer, I’ve used it to build two structures now and I have had no issues with it. It has two modes the single fire and bump fire which is really nice for what the price is, and that is another thing that makes this nailer so good is because it’s cheap and includes all the features more high end expensive nailers include. Another pro about this item is the durability is very good, I have accidentally left the item out in the weather a few times and dropped it too none of which has caused a single issue with the nailer. This is an all around good product and would recommend.

Wayyy better than expected!
I started using this after I return the Dewalt 28 degree 20v and a Dewalt 21 degree wire weld framing nailer. Neither of those would grip the wood when toe nailing and they had way more recoil. This gun bites the wood, has very little recoil and is just really smooth. My father tried it out too and he loved it compared to his paslode.
I love the fact that it’s a simple flip of a switch to bump fire when plating etc and I can just flip it back when I want to be in more control. I’d buy this again without hesitation.

This is a little animal!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it to build a foot bridge crossing a creek to our camp. It's almost 120'long. We used solid white oak. You can't get much harder than that. It easily drove 3" nails through a 1' white oak board into a solid white oak 3X4. That's 4 inches of solid white oak. Almost no splitting at all. I don't know how much more you could ask of it.The only problem we had is we found out it works better when you load the nails in the correct way. LOL For the price I don't know how you could ask any more out of a tool!
