We love this nail gun!
I bought one of these 3 years ago and I love it! I just bought another one for my son and he was thrilled! It is a great nail gun! Before I bought this one, I had purchased a different brand. It was awful. So I took it back, got another one just like the first, thinking it was a fluke but it was the same problem. Finally, I got smart and purchased this one. You will not be sorry if you buy this. It NEVER jams and works awesome all the time. I put up a tongue and groove ceiling using this and worked great. It is so nice to have such a great product in my collection of tools.

Hitachi NT65M2S 16 Gauge Finish Nailer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hitachi's NT65M2S finish nailer is working like a champ as I install jamb extensions and interior trim on the windows of the house my wife and I are building in Colorado's high county. Did one test nail of a scrap of 1x pine trim, through a 1/2-inch drywall scrap and into a 2x4 scrap, and the default power setting was perfect to set the 2-inch long 18-ga finish nail just the right amount below the surface of the trim. The nailer has been easy and reliable for me, and leaks essentially no air -- I can take a break for lunch, and my compressor never has to recharge.

Great Purchase
This nail gun is an awsome purchase for me. I also own the Hatachi Brad nailer, they are both a great addition to my arsenal of wood working tools. This nailer is no nonsense. This gun is easy to use, has a really great grip and does everything I need it to do while working on my small wood projects. The Hatachi finishing nail gun is well balanced easy to aim and sinks the nails just right. Easy tooless depth adjuster. This nailer has never jammed on me, and if it ever does, the Hatachi has a latch for easy access to the jammed nail. This is one of my many Great Purchases!

Love this gun
This is one of the most versatile nail guns you could own. It is light weight, sturdy, and well designed. It shoots up to 2 1/2 in, 16 gauge nails so you can do anything from building bird houses to base board and shoe molding to building cabinets and book shelves to building a deck and more. You will probably use this gun more than any other. I like the dusting feature that at first I didn't think would be that useful. This gun almost never jams or misfires. Keep it oiled.
As for the reviewer that said that it only shoots Hitachi nails and Lowes doesn't sell them. The Bostich nails work perfectly. All nail gun manufacturers say you can only use their nails.
You can buy a tool to do a job or two or you can buy a tool you will have for a lifetime. This is a tool you will have for a lifetime.

Better than you might think.
I had first bought a Porter Cable combo kit. It was a horrible experience, jams and loading problems, and that was using Porter Cable nails. I returned it and got the Hitachi. It worked flawlessly from the very start. Never missed a nail and never jammed. Plus, the gun's wait is lighter. I love it. Regardless of what other people have said in these reviews, I used the Porter Cable nails, that I had already bought, in the Hitachi, and this review is based on using those nails, not Hitachi nails. This gun never made a mistake.

Hitachi "nailed it" with this one
I use the gun mainly for interior trim. I love the 2 1/2 inch nail length for large crown molding. Gun is well-balanced and drives nail pefectly nearly every time. I bought a Bostich and the nails didn't set correctly. Bought a Dewalt and it was not as well balanced and easy to use. I don't love a tool for its name brand. I own everything from Milwaukee to Airy. Some tools just hit it and this one does.

You Can Depend on this Tool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this nailer a few months ago and have been using it in various applications, from both Indoor mill work projects to Outdoor small construction jobs. The Best review I can give to a tool is this, I am 65 years young and have used many tools in my life on a wide variety of projects, and this Nailer is one of the most reliable tools I have EVER used on my projects. Contractors, DIY folks, home improvement project folks, buy this tool with confidence, it will not let you down. I've been using Hitachi/Metabo tools for many years and the company has always stood behind there products.
