Description

Rated 5 out of 5 by George N from A must have There are a few basic tools that any carpenter or DIYer must have must have and this is definitely one of those tools. Metabo has built a very nice router. It is light weight yet very powerful for it's size. What makes it even better is the fact that it's cordless. The technology that Metabo has behind their cordless line up is making us put all the corded tools away because they do not have any advantages. Who likes to drag a cord behind if you don't have to sacrifice power? I would definitely recommend this router. That being said, this what this router is all about. It has a good feel and it operates very smoothly.

You make NO compromises in using this router versus a corded 2-1/4" HP router. I compared it to my well-known competitor's corded version and felt like this one may have even outperformed slightly! And of course you can go corded with any Metabo HPT 36V tool which is awesome. Even if you work in a shop setting, cutting the cord is just so convenient it might be worth your money. Home run by MHPT.

I have been using this cordless router for several weeks now and I cannot believe I have lived without one. I own several routers (very expensive German brand) and I have to say this is now my go-to router in the shop and especially on-site. I use jigs for much of my work and having a cordless option has greatly improved my productivity. Last week I used it in a cabinet to route an opening for 6” ductwork and it worked (and actually fit) perfectly. My customer was very pleased that it had a dust collection attachment, and it was very effective. I like how compact the unit is, and the rubberized grips are really a nice touch! This is my first 36 volt tool and the battery charges super fast and lasts a long time. Probably one of the best features is the quick breaking after releasing the switch. The bit will stop before I even set the tool down. Well done Metabo HPT…you have a nice piece of kit here!!!

Getting the cord hooked on something twisted up and just generally in the way has always been a problem the routers. Not so with this machine and that makes it a pleasure to use. With 36 volts it has the power to get the job done without the frustration of a cord. Cutting the cord gives you a sense of freedom and flow to your work. I enjoy using this router more than you know unless of course bought one yourself

Rated 5 out of 5 by DarkHorseWoodworks from Excellent Router I'm the owner of a custom cabinet shop in Atlanta and we got this awesome tool yesterday morning and it's already the shop favorite. It ran almost all afternoon yesterday at our dovetail station and the battery still hasn't needed to be charged. It's quieter than any router in the shop. The dust collection works well and it fits really well in your hands. Even with the battery, it's lighter than the comparable corded routers we have. I'll be replacing all of our corded routers with this beauty in the future.

It came with bush guides I found the battery 4 hour lasted longer than 6 hour battery of three different competitors. . In my opinion power capacity is in lone with Bosch and Dewalt. Now if they made a cordless with even more power for my router table I would definitely go out and purchase. Poor electricity in ahop. So many pieces ruined when power cuts out.
