Description

The 18 V cordless plastic strip framing nailer (tool body only - battery sold separately) completely raises the bar for cordless framing nailers. It is designed so you no longer need to worry about dirty hoses, loud compressors or expensive gas cartridges. It's equipped with Metabo HPT's unique air spring drive system that delivers similar performance as a pneumatic nailer, but offers total cordless freedom. It uses sealed compressed air to drive each nail, which results in zero ramp up time, up to 2 nails driven per second, recoil that feels like a pneumatic nailer and best of all, there is no refilling of the air tank required.

Easy to use, with a battery that often times lasts all day long, without untangling a hose or searching for fuel cells. Consistent firing and the rapid bump fire mode is a great feature not seen on some competitors. Best part, is that it works as good as a pneumatic gun. So far with a little abuse from daily use it's holding up as you would expect from metabo. I own all metabo cordless drills and still can't seem to break one to justify a new one, and this gun feels just as tough.

It worths every penny. Only 2 flaws in my opinion are the hook which I already upgraded to the ones the new models come with. And the magazine which seems 1 nail short. It works perfect with short racks of nails but some times we use longer racks and I have to cut 1 nail of the rack when reloading so they fit into the magazine which may be kind of annoying but still better than jump from house to house carrying a nailer, hose and compressor. I hope they don’t have the same issue on the 36v nailer. I’m upgrading nailer soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple man from Just like the air pneumatic Just like the air pneumatic framer but cordless! Just great handling for everyday framing. No rolling out hoses and compressors, don’t have to worry about water in your line messing up the mechanism in your gun. Just simple maintenance on this cordless framer. Would be good if we could change out the rafter hook make it more slimmer. And a attachment area for a carabiner and line would also work wonders for those accidental falls. But even that this thing is so robust it could handle some falls no problem. Just pack some batteries on you and make sure you get the fast charger even a multiport charger. These 36v batteries will last a while so you don’t have to worry to much.

The Metabo HPT cordless framing nailer I purchased 6 months ago has worked flawlessly, quick set up and tear down time too; no worrying about air hoses, compressors, and extension cords. It drives my 3.25” galvanized ringshank nails deep and doesn’t skip a beat doing it. The 3.0ah battery gives me enough juice to last an entire day. Gone are the times of me driving nails the old fashioned way. I’d say a standard wood job is completed at least 1 hour faster; over the course of 6 months, that 1 hour per job adds up. Completely worth it and happy with the purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Scott M from N/A Bought the unit on August 27th and have put about 2/3 of a box of 3" nails through the 18V cordless framing nail gun. Love the feel and functionality but the nail heads were left up about 1/4" above the work surface and had to be hammered in manually the rest of the way. Tried the +/- adjustment but to no avail. The nail gun is currently at a Metabo authorized repair shop hopefully getting fixed. I own several Metabo 18V cordless drills, a 36V cordless skill saw and a 36V cordless reciprocating saw and all of these work great and am very pleased with them. Hopefully, I can say the same about the framing nail gun once it's repaired and I get it back. Until then, I cannot recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boribuilt from Awesome battery powered framing gun with hook I've bought this framing gun a couple months ago and it's been one of my best purchases as a framer. It delivered all the power necessary to tackle any framing job. It runs off the multi volt platform so I can use my bugger batteries for extended run time. It also has bump fire mode or single shot. It's weight is perfect and not to heavy or bulky like other cordless guns I have used in the past. One of my favorite options It brings is the rafter hook it comes in handy all the time. If your thinking about purchasing a cordless framing gun I highly recommend this one from metabo hpt

Rated 5 out of 5 by Audi from Overall great features. I bought this nail gun approximately 4 years ago. It's been great. Out of the box it came with two 1.5 amp hour batteries. Since then I've upgraded to 36 volt multi -packs and this thing is a beast. It's the best nail gun for doing small to medium work, framing, fencing, etc. It always works 1.5 amp hour battery last approximately 500 nails. Unfortunately, recently started. Jamming which I'm not sure if it's the nails or the nail gun but I need to take it in to get serviced either way. It's been 4 years of continuous service which I'm more than happy for. For the price. Buy this nail gun. You won't regret it. No more having to take out your air compressor. Your air hose find the power source and get set up.

A few things I didn’t like was. Constantly running out of nails. Milwaukee has an extended magazine to hold two clips. This one doesn’t have that option. The tool is also very heavy. But thats better than lugging around a compressor. Just frustrated about the amount of nails it holds and it wastes a lot of nails because when you get down to 3-4 nails it won’t fire. A big disappointment. I believe Milwaukee is a better gun for that one reason.
