Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Love It [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite still learning how high the heat gets on all of the individual burners I love our 5-burner gas cooktop. Our old GE 4-burner while adequate does not match up to this Maytag. I love the sleek stainless steel look and the cleanup is much easier than our old cooktop. There is adequate space between the burners so multiple large pots may be utilized at once without feeling cramped. My initial attempt at making coconut jasmine rice resulted in a boil over I never experienced on my GE but as I said earlier, the cleanup was a breeze and I've learned how to control the heat enough since then.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nick from the grill is too high from the flame you either bu The customer service was great but since the product was not on display at the store and since it was shipped directly to the home we were stuck, the grill is too high from the flame when cooking you either burn your hand or loose all the heat, the pots and pans get too hot to cook.

It already had a gas cook top, it looked like it was original with the house...built in 60's. Before we moved in we had to clean house, paint walls and repair flooring. Thought we could keep the old stuff for now and get new appliances later down the road. Walked in one day and kept hearing click...click...click...it was the old stove trying to start. We unplugged it right away and ordered a new one. This is so much nicer. I love how it cooks even and quickly. Haven't had any issues. Highly recommend.

Other 4 burners don't adjust height of flames so it's only a high flames so you burn everything. Maytag repairman came 2 twice to adjust flame,then said they are not adjustable. No simmer or medium flame. Just high...Who makes a burner you can't adjust.......Hating my beautiful but not functional cooktop!

At the store this unit was recommended for its cooking performance and easy of cleaning. It lived up to the recommendation. Works perfectly on both high and low power. Well constructed and sturdy. It is very easy to clean. Burners are sealed so stuff doesn't fall into the unit. Just remove the grate and sturdy knobs and wipe the smooth stainless top. Cleans quickly and easily and put it back together in a jiffy.

This stove top is fantastic for usable space, and it’s convenience. Moving pans and pots around is easy. The cleaning is simple and moving the grates is no problem. I saw someone saying how heavy they are. If 7 pounds is too much to just move a grate with two hands, then it’s not the makers problem. And it heats evenly on all the different burners.
