Description

This Maytag gas cooktop comes with 4 burners for a practical cooking experience. It includes a 15,000 BTU power burner that delivers strong heat, as well as a 5000 BTU simmer burner for more delicate, precise tasks. The dishwasher-safe knobs and heavy-duty DuraClean cast iron grates are durable and easy to clean. Furthermore, the sealed burners prevent spills from getting inside the cooktop. The grates are continuous so you can easily slide cookware around without having to lift. The front controls are convenient to use and intuitive. An included conversion kit allows you to convert the appliance to be used with liquid propane.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Alli from Piece of junk. I bought this cooktop for my kitchen to replace the black one I had previously that was chipped. This one is now 1.5 years old and looks AWFUL. The knobs are plastic and look so cheap. The burners work when the feel like it. I called Maytag to express my dissatisfaction with this appliance and they did nothing and didn't seem to care that I was so disappointed in a product from a company that I had thought so highly of! Until now.

Love the power burner and the low simmer is wonderful. I made soup and was able to leave on cooktop for hours on the simmer burner without having to check every little bit to see if it was burning on bottom or boiling too hot. I used to have to drag out my slow cooker to simmer soup for any length of time. It took a little bit of time to get used to offset back burners but once I got used to it I love the cooktop. The stainless burner controls are nice and heavy, no melting plastic like last cooktop I had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mms from Beautiful looking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I am very happy with my new stove top, other than the fact that a metal like label was placed right in the front "10 yr warranty" , it would not come off with my fingernail so had to pry it off with a butter knife very carefully but still scratched the stainless steel. What a stupid place to put a label & why wasnt it a paper/sticky label that could be removed easily. I am very careful with this appliance but seems to scratch very easy, hopefully it wont look bad in a yr or so. had my last one for 18 yrs, dont plan on buying one a year.

They all were boxed and protected, but had scratches and dings in them, brand new! Also when you order parts for stainless appliances, they arrive scratched and damaged as well. Beware, it will take hours/days/weeks to the problem resolved! I was without a cooktop for over two months after we remodeled our kitchen. Very sad the Quality control is nonexistent at Whirlpool!

I am a farm wife who cooks from scratch every day and at this time of year I am canning every day. The power burner was great for heating up canner of water and actually canning the produce. Much faster than the Electrolux cooktop I previously owned

We went with Maytag on everything - washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and cook top. We are chose Maytag because of the Quality, name dependability, looks, and also pricing. We are glad we did. The cooktop is great - really like the heavy duty look of it and it is easy to clean. We need to replace one more appliance, an oven/microwave combination and will purchase Maytag.
