Description
This Masterbuilt digital charcoal smoker is the first of its kind - smoked charcoal flavour with digital controls. Set the temperature on the digital control panel or your smart device and the DigitalFan maintains the desired cooking temperature. The charcoal tray holds 16 lb of briquette charcoal or 12 lb of lump charcoal for up to 13 hours. This model also allows for a versatile temperature range with the power of charcoal. A built-in meat probe thermometer ensures perfect results every time. This model has a big capacity with four racks for a total of 1320 sq in of cooking space. Features swivel casters for easy moving.

Easy To Use, Great Price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Masterbuilt 40" Charcoal Smoker has all the features I need to smoke food without having to babysit it. I set the temperature, time and know I will have a good cook. From loading the charcoal basket and adding wood, easily starting the fire, to the finished product; it is now a fun experience, not a worrisome chore.
I gave it a 5 star rating because, for the price, it is the only smoker I've ever owned, and I've owned several, that I know I will get the food done exactly to my taste consistently.
Two things I would like to see added are an inside light and a smokestack.
Otherwise, you can't beat it for the money

My second one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this one a few months ago and just love it. But I knew I would because it's my second one. I had my first one for so long I don't remember how long it was. The longer you have it the better it gets. It takes almost all the work out of smoking. It makes some of the best ribs I ever had. My whole family just loves them and anything else I make in it. one thing I can tell you that helps is don't soak your wood chips just put them in dry and it works much better.

Decent V1
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this charcoal electric because on paper it was very promising. I enjoyed using it but quickly realized it uses quite a bit more fuel than advertised and it keeping a steady temp was a task just to keep it within 15 degrees of a desired temp. Despite that it delivers quality smoke and great tasting barbecue. It just wasn't what I was looking for in the end.

Controller Issues
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this item a month ago and was very excited about getting it. The control has already gone on the fritz. This is the second one to do so.
I have ordered a replacement, but if it does the same thing, I will not purchase another one. If it performs like it is supposed to, I will change my review.
I am completely unhappy at this time.

So very easy to use!

Great smoker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I had a bunch of issues and after messing around and re-reading the instruction realized I hooked up the wires from the control board to the fab wrong. Now I fixed my mess-up I can get the charcoal going, place the meat in and set the cooking and internal temperature and walk away. Everything comes out SO GOOD!!!

Garbage, engineers ruined a simple thing
To many alarms, and silly ones at that.
To many codes, absolutely not needed for any reason especially ones like #4 j
The doors shutting off the fan not needed this feature causes alarm 5 and alarm 3. So you can't check you food without shutting the system off.
System won't turn back on if you pull the bin out to add coal.
The bin will bend and warp and be difficult to install and remove.
