Bigger than the original
This Part is bigger than the original which takes too much force to get in. By the time I got mine on the leak was even worse. After removal I noticed that I damaged the thicker rubber washers. The PLUMBSHOP part from C******* T*** Worked perfectly and slipped on with ease and worked perfectly.

Bought part January 23 at half the price of the competitor store. Removed the old cartridge with some brute force and the white plastic part included with the new piece and finally able to wiggle piece free. Put grease on the new cartridge plastic parts to be able to slide it in more easily. Was able to insert the U pin using the white plastic tool to line things up. Reinstalled the esctcheon, the tap, and turned on the water. No dripping after I turned it off. For now it works as it should. Pleased with my purchase.

Save yourself the aggravation. It should have been a 20 minute job. I removed old cartridge, installed the new cartridge, the water would not shut off completely, about 5% leakage. Cartridge wouldn't come out, had to use a special cartridge pulling tool to remove it Buy the Moen 1225B; it worked perfectly.
