Description

This 3M clear plastic masking film with a width of 12" and a length of 360' is designed for use with the M3000 dispenser during your painting projects. It can protect windows, trim, railings and other surfaces. It is waterproof to rain, dew or wash water. This film is also paint-flake resistant, easy to wrap around objects and translucent, which allows the light to shine through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ultra coatings from Splendid for production painting! extra cost offset by reduced down time from changing paper. Easier on blades, cuts gorgeous and forms to surfaces. Exterior use obviously is the intended application how ever the use in say, high production sites like towers or hospitals where long hallways require extra lengths of paper this product is fenominal. Package says 2x of paper, it's actually 2.75x and subsequently you will use less tape on seams. Contractors have no reason not to use this product. It Saves Money!!

However, when this Masking Plastic first hit the market, we were thrilled to begin using it instead of paper. It is lightweight, moldable, and flexible. It's also waterproof and is an excellent alternative to paper, specifically for exterior surfaces and other areas where the plastic may be in contact with water. We will continue using Masking Plastic as our paper alternative everyday within our painting business.

When masking with the traditional paper it is always susceptible to overnight moisture or rain requiring repeated replacement. When I used the plastic combined with exterior tape it stayed intact through an overnight rain shower. I will definitely be using this from now on.

It is water proof, see through, more flexible than paper. Just another improvement by 3M which helps increase quality and proficiency on the job.

It was better than masking paper in that it is light weight and wraps around objects. The roll contains 2X per roll than general purpose masking paper.
