Is this sand compatible with intex sand filters-they require #20 silica sand with particle size 0.45 to 0.85mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a uniformity coefficient less than 1.75

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Total Trash Do Not Buy! This stuff is a lower grade than play sand. Looks nothing like silica filtration sand. Lots of impurities and lots of dust. I back-washed countless times to try and flush out any finer grains and dust. Through out the entire summer I kept getting fine dust and sand coming back in to the pool. (no I did not have a damaged filter lateral!) This year I had to empty the entire filter AGAIN and refill with a proper quality filtration sand from a pool supplier. Do not waste your time with this garbage thinking you will save a few dollars. It will only cost you more in the long run when you have to empty out your filter of this garbage!
