UltraCare Acidic Tile & Grout Cleaner is a highly concentrated acidic cleaner formulated to remove cement grout haze, mortar residue, mineral deposits, rust stains and efflorescence from tile, concrete and masonry surfaces. It is also effective for removing hard-water stains, lime deposits and soap scum. This product contains no phosphates.

We have slate tiles that are sealed with Penetrating Sealer. Unfortunately it seems to mark easily and so I want to re-seal it with Enhancing Sealer. Which of the heavy duty cleaners that you produce is the best one to strip / clean/ prep the slate?

Not sure about the slate you mentioned - because real slate is impervious - you can put a product on it but it won't penetrate. You may have a sand stone or an acrylic product on your slate that needs to be maintained or removed. Everything including Slate needs cleaning - but it's been installed out side for many years because it won't absorb anything - especially water - because if it did- it would crack. Try a good stripper on a section first to see if you can remove that top coat. A lot of times people use top coats & stuff like that for a shine- slate is a matte finish. But it's a beautiful natural product - good luck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Manjit from SO Insanely Expensive I bought this to remove the White haze (efflorescence) from my Paving Stone. This does work, but I am giving this a 1 Star due to :- (1) the ridiculous price for only 946ml (2) zero instructions on how to use (ie. whether to dilute, use full strength, use plastic container, etc).

Rated 5 out of 5 by CarolineG from Removes dog urine stain on tile This product was recommended to me by our tile installer to remove a dog urine stain that remained on our brand new tile despite washing it off with regular products. Followed the directions as per label and soaked the tile with the solution for 15 min or so. Rinsed and cleaned the tile as usual... urine stain finally gone! Thx!
