The tape is easy to read and very accurate. Pros of this tape: Rouged well built with red case which is easy to spot when on ground or bench It is a 25 foot tape Magnet on the clip/hook end Extends to 13 feet before breaking Built tough with rubber bumpers on edges Easy to read tape in 1/16 inch increments After first foot inches are displayed as total from end and inches from foot mark Cons: Does not extend to 13 feet every time with out breaking Heavy at over 17 ounces

It is heavy at 1lb. 3 oz. but it is built to last.The hook magnate will lift 5 pounds and the tape is reinforced for the 1st 3". Tape numbers are easy to read and the 16" stud markings are in red. It has a good solid belt clip in addition to slots for a corded lanyard. The tape brake works well and there is actually a mid setting for slight drag on the tape. The hook is metal and secured very well with 3 rivets. The case is made of durable Mylar and rubber with BladeArmour coatings.The hook catches well and the tape is easy to use and read. Very solid feel and looks very durable. It should last a lifetime.

However, it should be relabeled as 12' stand out. No matter how many times I tried, I could not get it to go past 12' before the tape broke. Other than that though, it is a great tape measure. The blade is white with large easy to read numbers and markings. It has a magnetic tip as well. It also has a strong spring clip for attachment to a bag or belt. There is also a cut out on the back corner for attaching a lanyard ( lanyard not included).

I use it to pull open a Craftsman chest drawer full of heavy vintage files no sweat. I had to use a little muscle to break the connection between magnet and drawer. Broad tape measure, easy to read white background like the old Lufkin wooden folding measures, sturdy heavy duty and made in USA.

Big bold numbers against a white background makes it easy to read. You can pull out 10 feet of tape to measure before the tape begins to sag. Belt clip to keep your tape measure close at hand. Tape retracts easily when finished and it is MADE IN THE USA!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A tape measure shouldn't make anyone this happy! 3 or 4 years ago my old tape measure wouldn't retract any more, so a few days later I went off to buy a new one. Bought my new tape measure in one of those nasty blister packs that wouldn't even let me pull the tape out without going through all that trouble, so I just took it home and put it in my work bag. I'm thinking "what could go wrong?" Hah! When I finally needed it, I had to cut a board to 3' 6". When I pulled the tape the length of my board I noted that it was marked only in inches after the first foot. So every time I had to measure something I had to convert inches to feet. What a pain! My new Craftsman (that you can pull out prior to purchase!) has a really easy/large font read out in both feet and continuous inches. Now I'm asking "why did I wait so long, messing with that 'other' brand!" Thank you Craftsman!!

The locking mechanism is very smooth and holds well. The tape will extend a good ways out with out bending and is easy to read. Makes work easier.
