Rated 2 out of 5 by DCONCA from Nice concept, but very poor durability I like the yellow on black tape. The locking mechanism is pretty smooth too, but....insane amount of unnecessary and non-recyclable plastic packaging. I'm a carpenter and I use this tape five days a week. It does not stand up to this level of use. The markings on the underside start to wear off within days. It's good there is a lifetime warranty, because both tapes that I've had broke within three inches of the hook after only a few months. I wanted to like it, but ultimately I was left disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Readability Old guy with old eyes. Love the colors-layout-size of numbers. Dislike the thickness of the blade. It bends (breaks) very very easily. Would pay more for one with similar graphics and a heavier blade. Everything else is perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Wiredup from looks tough?? These tapes are slightly more than most so i didnt buy it right away..because i didnt NEED it...should not have bought it..the first inch ripped off after 2 days of use. very thin metal. back to using the dewalt tapes ive owned and abused for years

Rated 5 out of 5 by Todd from Well built tape measure [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this tape measure on my low voltage tool belt for about 5 weeks now. It's been used, dropped, and tested. It's a durable and great tape measure. It's a bit heavy but the added weight is worth the durability when falling from a ladder onto concrete or other abuse seen with daily work in the field.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nash from Great Tape while it lasts Very nice and smooth. The marks are very easy to read on the job site, even when working over head. I wish it would last longer then a couple of months, I have gone through 3 of these as they snap around the 2" to 3" marking everytime without showing any visible cracking. I figure id give it one more try as I find this to be a very accurate tape measure, but may have to find another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim from Very tough tape w/ dark theme [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have held off reviewing this tape thinking, "OK, today this thing is going to break." I give up, so here it is. This tape is pretty amazing. It has lasted me a month, and most tapes by now are creased or have a cracked case. I don't buy expensive tape measures because they all break, until now. I have thrown this thing at concrete, dropped it 20' on wood, and metal, and it barely scuffed the thing. So what about the other features? Ok, so the measure itself has a dark theme going on. The paint is flat black with neon green numbers, which kills the glare you get from the sun that you get on every other tape. The thumb lock works well and is rubberized with metal bars on both sides to protect it when it drops. The hook is diamond Coates and grabs well. It also has two ears on top of the hook which give you a hook on top of your tape for those awkward situations. The spring and stop works well with no signs of getting any weeker. I really like the fat little belt hook as it covers the majority of the tape itself. It may not seem like a big deal, but when you are on your belly under a house, and you tape is rocking back and forth, it gets caught on anything and everything. The wide belt hook on this tape keeps it close to your body and out of the way until you need it. The only thing I think was maybe overkill is the hole for drawing an arc or circle. There are tools out there for that purpose and I don't think I will ever use it for that. However, I think the metal tube going through the tape adds strength to the tape. It is altogether a great Addition to my daily use tools.

It’s small and sturdy. The only downside would be the clip is very tight. Hoping it will be looser as it’s hard to clip to a belt.

I was pretty amazed at how small it is yet how strong it holds true to. Easy to see numbers on both sides in case you need to measure at an angle. Helped me with a door hang when bending at 90 but still staying straight thru to the other angle.
