Featuring a 5.2-cu ft washer on the bottom and a 7.4-cu ft dryer on top, the sleek single unit LG WashTower(TM) takes up half the space, giving you room to add a sink, a folding table or whatever you like. But unlike conventional stacked pairs, LG's exclusive Center Control(TM) panel is perfectly positioned with both washer and dryer controls at just the right height. In addition, built-in intelligence features AI fabric sensors that select the optimal wash motions and drying temperatures, Smart Pairing(TM) that allows the washer to automatically select a compatible drying cycle and Smart Learner in the ThinQ® app that remembers your preferred settings. Use LG's enhanced TurboWash® technology to give big loads the same great clean while cutting your wash time by up to 30 minutes and use the Allergiene(TM) cycle with steam to remove over 95% of pet dander and dust mites. Hi Re electrical for this LG washtower, does the unit require a 120v plug PLUS a 240 volt plug at the back of the wall for the electrical supply? Currently my 240 volt plug for the old dryer is on the other side of my laundry sink. Please advise, thx
When dryer is in use circuit breaker has tripped. It wasn’t happening with my previous dryer Kenmore.
When stacked how tall would it be
Do the machines get delivered as one piece or two? If as one piece, can we take them apart just for the ease and getting into the space they need to go in?

LG Washtower, a modern day upgrade
We recently moved into condo in downtown Toronto and inherited an early 90's vintage Maytag Laundry Centre. I put a few repair dollars into the washer but the dryer was failing with no option to repair as the parts we needed were longer available. I had done a fair amount of research on which new pair we would invest in and it kept coming back to the LG Washtower. It fit the tight space and covered all bases for what our family of three needs are. Most reviews I read were positive and the people who wrote them were very commonsensical people. Seems any bad reviews I read were written by people who either did not know what they were doing, had poorly researched the machine, and or did not have the machine properly installed.
Lowes brought and installed the Washtower correctly after they removed the old one. I had supplied new hoses as per their requirement. We bought the white cabinet version and although it has less bells and whistles, it was $200 cheaper. Less is more in my way of thinking.
There are enough load type choices for the laundry you need to do and all customizable.If you want more, use the App but I find the machine pretty much covers everything. The thing is easy enough to use. It's almost anticlimactic once you use it a few times.
Purely and and simply, the washer washes fine and the dryer dries the way you would expect. It's relatively quiet. I have read some silly complaints about little things that some people find annoying but in the end it's still just a washing machine. If all else fails...follow instructions
I've done towels, bedding and regular clothes washing. It all came out clean and dry. There are other potentially better machines out there but also more costly. This one seems to be a good blend of cost and performance and seems uniquely suited to tight spaces. It does the job.
The App is the only thing that needs work but it is helpful to some degree. But using it will not make your clothes any cleaner

Sensible design
When We started looking for new laundry appliances, we only had space for "stackable", and I guess it has been a while since we last bought them, my wife would need steps to reach the control panel. Then we saw this pair or "Tower", it was exactly what we wanted, and now that we have it for about 6 months it is working great, after a few uses the controls became very simple to operate. Great idea and good quality.

Laundry is enjoyable!
I recently bought this laundry tower to replace and old clunky laundry that I unherited when I moved into a condo. This unit fit perfectly into the closet and cleans perfectly and quickly. The app feature is great so you know when your cycle is coming to an end...just need to figure out how to lower the volume on the chime when the wash/dry cycle ends.

All around awesome!
We recently purchased this combo set at the brick. Its so quiet, its got all cycles. Its huge inside but decently thin overall. It can wash queen duvets which is fantastic as no more laundry mat and it was affordable. We must admit we haven't used the controls from our phones yet but its def a plus. Great overall performance a recommended must buy!

Awesome features
Only have done a couple loads of laundry. 2 thumbs up blows ge out of water which I had originally purchased. Complaining to place of purchase salesman said I’ll get you one you’ll be happy with and got this one instead best decision I ever made
