Rated 1 out of 5 by kbelle from Do NOT buy this refrigerator After 1 year and 1 day of owning this refrigerator the temperature dropped and everything in the freezer melted, the ice melted and water went all over the floor, and the refrigerator was sitting at room temperature. Called for service and they replaced the compressor. Two days later, it went through the same thaw cycle. The temperature fluctuates. Every 2-3 days it goes through some sort of thaw cycle where everything melts. It gets back up to temperature after a day or two and then drops back down to room temp. LG repair tech says this is a known issue with this model. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this terrible refrigerator.

We love the space it provides and the dual ice makers. However, there are a couple things we aren’t happy about and, had we know about them before hand, we would not have purchased this unit. First, the compressor makes a loud, high-pitched sound whenever it runs. It’s horrible. Apparently, though, this is how the fridge is designed and the sound is a by-product is its energy efficiency. In other words, we have to live with it. YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT, TOO! It is so annoying! Second, the ice maker makes a horrible noise. It doesn’t do it every time - but it inevitably does it when guests are over and doesn’t do it when the repair man is here. Go figure. We were told to try to get video of it and we finally did. I’ll share it here. Maybe the repair person will come back out and fix it - but who knows. Third - the left door holds the ice maker and it closes easily (thanks to the weight). The right door must weigh a lot less, because it doesn’t close with a simple push. Thankfully the fridge beeps if a door is left open, but it’s going to take some time to get used to closing it more forcefully. For now, it beeps at us 2-3 times a day because the door doesn’t get shut all the way. Lastly, there is a slot in the freezer drawer that is perfect for pizzas. But unless your pizza is in a box, it will slide down under the drawer and end up on your floor. Hopefully LG will make some adjustments to future models - but for now, I would not recommend this one. We paid too much money to have to deal with these issues and are very disappointed with this purchase.

LG has sent 4 different appliance repair technicians and they still haven't fixed the problem. It's now November. Been waiting for LG to contact me on how it's going but no call for over a month. If I knew it was going to take this long to fix I would have taken this back to Lowes.We have been buying bottled water since our water dispenser does not work. Getting really old.

Good looking overall. Doors, shelves, etc. all working well so far. Con: Noise/vibration when it is running, which at first we thought was a delivery truck idling on the street. We have tried adjusting position etc. to quiet it down to no avail. It also vibrates glass jars in the door unless they are placed just so.

Rated 2 out of 5 by MandJ from Defective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this in May 2020 and noticed for quite some time after about a month or so that fruits and vegetables were molding very quickly so I lowered the temperature and then noticed around Thanksgiving that things were not quite as frozen in the freezer and on 12/31/2020 realized that everything in the freezer was thawed and that there was no ice at all. I have had repair here 2 times now, and it is February 8th, 2021 and it is still not fixed. First I was told it was the sensor for the freezer, then they changed their minds and said it was the control panel for the freezer, which they changed 4 days ago and it is still not working. Nothing freezes, there is no ice and now I am noticing an extreme amount of condensation in the refrigerator!!! Wish to heaven they had reputable repair people who could fix this or maybe they should have just replaced the unit 2 months ago like I suggested when the item was still in stock!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by celtic1020 from Compressor broke in Month 3 I love the features of the fridge, but it stopped making ice and freezing after only 3 months of it being in our home. The compressor/condenser broke and needs to be replaced. For this hefty price, it should not break. We have an extended warranty but now I am concerned for the longevity of this product.
