what is the setting time not the curing time. for example if I glue the CodeBord XPS Rigid Foam on metal then glue the plywood on the XPS, how long do I have to apply pressure to have a good seating of the XPS and the plywood

Thank you for the question. LePage PL 300 Foamboard Adhesive has a set time/open time of about 10 minutes. Keep in mind this product requires at least one bonding surface to be porous so if you will bond Codebord to metal, this product will not cure properly. You might consider looking at LePage PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive as a more suitable alternative.

How any tubes do I need to adhere a 4 x 8 sheer of styrofoam insulation ( or how many 4 x 8 sheets would one 825ml can do?) Im estimating 30 4 x 8 sheets ffr my basement

Thank you for the question. The number of tubes needed will depend upon how you are intending to install the foam board (e.g. to furring strips in a below grade basement application or directly to the concrete wall. For an 825 ml tube, a 1/4” (6 mm) bead extrudes approximately 86 ft. (26 m); a 3/8” (9.5 mm) bead extrudes approximately 38 ft. (12 m). Assuming you are laminating and the foamboard is not film faced and application is based on running continuous beads 6” O.C. 3 inches from top and 3 inches from the bottom with a 3/8” (9.5 mm0 beads of adhesive you should be able to install about 1 ½ sheets with one tube.

How much adhesive to use to glue 4x8 sheets of 1/2 inch SilveRboard to concrete? Would I glue the perimeter plus make a big "X"? How many sheets per tube? Thanks!

I used this glue on 2” silver board on the inside of my basement concrete foundation. I found the best technique was to do about 6 golf ball sized blobs and work it into the concrete. I used about 6 tubes for 30-40 sheets using this technique. The only issue with this glue is it takes long to setup to the boards move unless braces or pinned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Da Dave from Product did live up to the promotion It really sticks well for its intended purpose. It flows well from the tip. I became disappointed however with one tube that stopped flowing out of the tip. After the piston of calking gun reached the end I couldn’t retract the rod due to all of the remaining glue of about 2/3 was on the back side of the calking gun piston.I had a terrible job to pull it back all the way then clean out all the glue! Lost a big chunk of time getting the job done.
