[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seriously questioned how a spring tension system would put enough force on the cutting wheel to get the job done. But I'm working in a old house with thick hard copper from the good-ole-days and my knob twist cutters were taking forever to get the job done in tight spaces, and sore fingers. (Blades are well used and dull which probably didn't help much). I wasn't brave enough to buy the 3 pack out of the gate, so I got this to try, figuring I'd return it if it sucked and didn't perform as advertised. ManAlive do I regret not buying this tool years ago. Five to Ten turns around the pipe and SNAP... victory! The spring mechanism works in conjunction with you rotating it the correct direction to put proper pressure on the blade against the pipe. Works like a champ! If I were to pretend that this tool would only last me 12 months, I'd still buy it again because it saves me that much time and aggravation.

I wouldn’t buy this tool again. I was only cutting 1/2” copper pipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CritterDoc from Amazing Little Tool I bought this because I am replacing all the awful Accor soft plastic push/pull supply valves in my house with brass compression valves and some of them are in very difficult to reach places. This thing is truly amazing. Very high quality, works brilliantly, and only takes about 1/2" of pipe, so you'll be left with plenty to slip into the compression fitting. One word of caution: it takes a lot more turns to cut the pipe than a traditional tube cutter because it cuts so gradually. It actually doesn't feel like it's cutting at all, but don't give up on it. That's actually a good thing in tight places because it doesn't take as much force to turn it. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

You slap it on, give it a few turns and BOOM you now have two copper pipes instead of 1. Going to use this on a six pack later.... tune back in for updates

Was able to quickly cut out old copper lines for fixtures that were going to be replaced. 5 turns and the pipe was cut. Very easy to use in tight spaces. Minimal burring that needed to be cleaned out with a reamer. I only used it to cut 2 pipes so I can't comment on long term use.
