Very pretty
I got this to use as shelves in my kitchen, not for stairs. I was expecting a lot worse based on the reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised. I did have to dig through the pile at the store to find the best ones, because there were some that did not have a good finish on them. The two that I found are very pretty and will work perfectly for what I want them for. I do think the finish might be an issue for stairs, as it doesn’t seem to be very durable. I also would not order these to pickup because it takes some digging to find the best ones. To use for other projects, they are great because the wood grain is very striking.

Doesn't look good in store
I wish they sold this unvarnished. In the store, almost every piece was scratched way too badly to use as-is. The boards all need to be refinished, which is a lot of work for the price (i.e. to remove the existing varnish and reapply new).
And even if the boards weren't all scratched beyond belief, I can't see the manufacturer's varnish holding up to regular foot traffic.
The manufacturer should either sell these with a more protective finish, or sell them unfinished so purchasers could finish it as they see fit (without having to remove the poor-quality varnish that's already on there).
Another problem - there treads are made up of 3 long pieces of acacia glued together (I think? I can't see for sure how they are joined)... however, in the store, there were many boards where the joints were coming apart. For that reason, I'd hesitate to use these for a heavy-duty purpose. since I can't help but wonder if the boards I bought will come apart eventually.. for that reason, they seem better for light-duty projects.
The only reason I bought them (despite their flaws) is because other sources of Acacia wood are hard to find in my city... so my choice was either to refinish these flawed boards, or not get to use Acacia for my project at all.

Used for shelves instead of stair treads
Used these treads as floating shelves on both sides of my tv wall.
