Would like to use this as a table top for my outdoor shed. It will be covered, but wanted to know if it can be kept in the shed year round or do I have to bring it indoors for the winter?

As long as the shed is dry I would protect the top from expanding and contracting with a coat or two of polyurethane on all sides. Less hassle than bringing it indoors. Its a very hard wearing top

I'm debating using this as a computer desk. In the description it states it is laminate but then people are saying it needs to be treated. Can someone clarify if I need to do anything to this desk or just use it right away. Cheers.

You would definitely want to finish it first. As a desk you'd need a strong top coat for it.

Yes, it comes very light as it's unfinished but depending on its use you could definitely stain it a multitude of ways to achieve different colors

Is this veneer, solid wood or plastic laminate? On the website of the manufacturer it is stated as finger joint acacia. If that is the case then it is a really good deal.

This product comes with the packaging taped to the countertop. How am I supposed to get this off ??

Yes I had the same problem and it's very annoying. I pulled the tape off and then lightly sanded off the glue residue. It worked fine. I thought of using Goo Gone but worried about staining. You could try a test on the underside.

I purchased this countertop but we need to cut a few inches off across the length and a few inches of the width of the countertop to make it fit properly on our kitchen island. Can this countertop be trimmed or will it damage or split the laminate?

My contractor had no problem with trimming~We actually even had to but two pieces together behind the sink to get the length we needed. It’s a pretty thick piece of wood, so it’s heavy and you’ll need a proper saw/blad for smooth edges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by La rousse from Beau comptoir J’ai acheté ce comptoir hier, il est superbe et aujourd’hui je l’ai déballé, je ne sais pas pourquoi il y’avait du ruban directement collé sur le bois, très mauvaise idée, il reste de la colle et c’est très difficile de la faire partir, j’ai dû prendre un grattoir, un papier sablé et beaucoup de patience pour faire disparaître la colle. Ensuite je l’ai vernie, wow le résultat final est très beau!

After doing two corner joints I was ready to cut the bigger island counter top to fir through a pass through. This is when I found out corners are not necessarily at 90°. I now have to cut the countertop to square it. I am concerned that the cut will not be straight and there will be a gap. Also do not expect flat counter tops as you can feel the waves in the counter. I will persevere with these but there is definite room to improve product quality as many of the edges are also slightly rounded from sanding by the manufacturer (but necessarily all edges)

Après quelques mois d'utilisation légère (ordinateur, cahier et clavier sur le bureau) il est déjà craqué. Il y a une craque de 6 pouces vis à vis un des joints. Très déçu de ce produit!

I bought it in 2021 and I guess the manufacturer listened to the feedback so the wrapping was not an issue at all! Nothing to clean.

We did not notice until cut and laying down. Not sure what we are going to do now. Also, the tape was stuck to the wood which makes a mess, not sure how I will remove that.

Unfortunately the clear tape used by the manufacturer to attach the product label left a lot of residue on the countertop. I tried sanding it down with 120, 220 and 600 grit sandpaper but from certain angles you can still see the residue. Since I stained my countertop a very deep colour, the stain was able to cover the residue. It's unfortunate that the manufacturer used this tape, ruining an otherwise perfect board.
